Paolo Heusch
Paolo Heusch (26 February 1924 – 16 October 1982) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. Life and career Born in Rome, Heush started his career immediately after the World War II as a script supervisor. Between 1949 and 1957 he was active as an assistant director for over twenty films. After directing a number of documentaries, he made his feature film debut in 1958 with '' The Day the Sky Exploded'', the first science fiction film produced in Italy. His third film as a director was ''Werewolf in a Girls' Dormitory''. He was then asked to co-direct '' Violent Life''. based on Pier Paolo Pasolini's novel of the same name. He was hired by producer Moris Ergas to direct the film with Brunello Rondi as the produced wanted a technically gifted director to help the screenwriter direct his first film. Erminio Spalla
Erminio Spalla (7 July 1897 – 14 August 1971) was an Italian professional heavyweight Boxer (boxing), boxer, film actor and singer. Spalla studied fine arts in Brera (district of Milan), Brera, when in 1910 he saw film footage of the world boxing championships and decided to become a professional boxer. He was the first Italian to win a European boxing title, which he did in 1923. He lost it in 1926 to Paulino Uzcudun and retired from boxing the next year, though he briefly returned to the ring in 1934 and won all three of his final bouts. He returned to art after retiring from the ring. In October 1937 he debuted as an opera singer in ''Nel Trovatore'' in Turin. In the same year he also worked in sculpture and painting. Giulio Calì (26 March 1895 – 20 January 1967) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in more than 60 films between 1927 and 1966. Life and career Born in Rome, Calì started his career on stage, being mainly active in Roman dialect theater and in avanspettacolo. He made his film debut in 1927, in Umberto Paradisi's ''Un balilla del '48'', but his career ultimately started after the Second World War, when he was cast in a good number of films of different genres and quality, even if usually playing very minor roles. Calì is probably best known for his association with director Alberto Lattuada, who gave him his first significant roles, namely Smarazzacucco in ''The Mill on the Po'' (1949) and the sailor in ''The Overcoat'' (1952). Fosco Giachetti (28 March 1900, in Sesto Fiorentino – 22 December 1974, in Rome) was an Italian actor. Fosco Giachetti was the protagonist of '' Lo squadrone bianco'' (1936), directed by Augusto Genina.
