''The Deal'' ( es, El Arreglo) is a 1983 Argentine drama film directed by Fernando Ayala and written by Roberto Cossa and Carlos Somigliana. The film premiered on 19 May 1983 in Buenos Aires. It was entered into the 13th Moscow International Film Festival where it won a Special Diploma. Plot summary Luis, a hard working and honest family man living in a small town, becomes involved in a moral quandary: Water service has come to his street, but only one side of the street. Due to a technical error, Luis and everyone on his side simply won't be getting the service. However, the water company foreman is open to bribes in order to provide water to the other side of the street. When Luis declines to bribe the man for his family, everyone on his side, neighbours and family included, turn against him, and the foreman resents him. ''The Deal'' is a 2003 British television film that depicts the Blair-Brown deal—a well-documented pact that Tony Blair and Gordon Brown made whereby Brown would not stand in the 1994 Labour leadership election, so that Blair could have a clear run at becoming leader of the party and later as Prime Minister. The film begins in 1983, as Blair and Brown are first elected to Parliament, and ended in 1994 at the Granita restaurant—the location of the supposed agreement—with a brief epilogue following the leadership contest. The film was directed by Stephen Frears from a script by Peter Morgan, based in part upon ''The Rivals'' by James Naughtie. The film stars David Morrissey and Michael Sheen as Brown and Blair. "The Deal" is the ninth episode of the second season of NBC's '' Seinfeld'', and the show's 14th episode overall. The episode centers on protagonists Jerry ( Jerry Seinfeld) and Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) who decide to have a sexual relationship, with a set of ground rules. However, as their "relationship" progresses, they experience difficulties maintaining their original friendship. Series co-creator Larry David wrote the episode in a response to NBC's continued efforts to get the two characters back together. is the Japanese franchise of the game show Deal or No Deal. It is hosted by Shinsuke Shimada and aired on the TBS network. So far, the show has been aired only twice: on September 8, 2006 as both a "birthday program" and a Friday-night Special (known in the channel as ) and on April 5, 2007. While the show is called as such, Shimada uses the familiar catchphrase "Deal or No Deal". ''The Deal'' is the debut album by American post-metal band Sumac. It was released on digital and CD formats through Profound Lore Records and on vinyl LP via SIGE Records on February 17, 2015. The album was recorded at Aleph and Litho studios in Seattle, Washington between July and August 2014. The album was mixed at GodCity Studios in Salem, Massachusetts by Kurt Ballou. The artwork was a collaborative effort between Aaron Turner and Faith Coloccia. Background In September 2014, shortly after the formation of the band, Sumac announced the track listing and expected February release of their debut album, through Profound Lore Records and SIGE Records, tentatively titled ''The Deal''.
