The Days Of The Turbins (1976 Film)
''The Days of the Turbins'' (russian: Дни Турбиных, Dni Turbinykh) is a 1976 Soviet three-part television drama film directed by Vladimir Basov, based on the eponymous play by Mikhail Bulgakov (the author's adaptation of his novel The White Guard for stage). Plot The film tells about the intelligentsia and the revolution in Russia, about the life of the family of Turbin officers during the Russian Civil War. Kiev. Winter of 1918-1919. The power in the city passes from the Hetman to the Directorate of Ukraine, then from Petliura to the Bolsheviks. Turbins and their acquaintances have to make their choice. Ivan Petrovich Ryzhov (russian: Ива́н Петро́вич Рыжо́в; 25 January 1913, Ramensky District, Zelyonaya Sloboda, Bronnitsky Uyezd, Moscow Governorate — 15 March 2004, Moscow) was a Soviet and Russian film and theater actor. People's Artist of the RSFSR (1980). Biography Ryzhov was born on 25 January 1913 in the village of Ramensky District, Zelyonaya Sloboda, in the Bronnitsky Uyezd of the Moscow Governorate of the Russian Empire. In 1935, he graduated from the School of the Moscow Theater of the Revolution and became an actor of the theater. He made his film debut in the role of Captain Soroka in the ''Kubans''. Ivan Ryzhov died on the morning of 15 March 2004 in a Moscow hospital. According to his daughter, it happened due to negligence of the medical staff: the actor had fallen and cut his hand. Nikolay Gavrilovich Smorchkov (russian: Николай Гаврилович Сморчков; 9 August 1930 – 7 March 2021) was a Soviet and Russian film actor. Biography Nikolay Smorchkov was born on 9 August 1930 in the village of Ivankovo, Gavrilovo-Posadsky District, in a large peasant family named Gavril Ivanovich and Pelageya Matveyevna. In 1933, fleeing Collectivization, the family moved to the village of Orgtrud, which was not far from Vladimir (now the district of the city).
