The Clairvoyant (1924 Film)
''The Clairvoyant'' (French: ''La voyante'') is a 1924 French silent drama film directed by Leon Abrams and starring Sarah Bernhardt, Georges Melchior and Harry Baur. It was based on a play by Sacha Guitry. This was the final film of the celebrated stage actress Sarah Bernhardt who died during production.Menefee p.39 Plot Jean is thrown out of the house by his father, a remarried politician, out of jealousy for his friendship with his mother-in-law. He finds refuge at an artist's apartment. In the same building lives a famous fortune teller that the mother-in-law just happens to consult. With her help, Jean will be able to marry his young sweetheart and his father will solve his political troubles. Leon Abrams
Leon David Abrams FRCS (1923–2012) was a British cardiothoracic surgeon who developed and implanted the first variable rate heart pacemaker, together with Ray Lightwood, at the University of Birmingham. Leon Abrams was born in Leeds. He graduated from Birmingham University with an MBChB degree in Medicine in 1945. Abrams was a cardiothoracic surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. With medical engineer Ray Lightwood, he developed and implanted the first variable rate pacemaker in 1960. The first variable rate pacemaker implant took place in March 1960. Two further implants took place in April 1960. Fifty-six patients had received implants by 1966. He set up a leading centre for lung and heart surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Oeva Jean Wells Koebernick (July 25, 1955 – January 25, 2012) was an American writer, artist, and editor in the field of role-playing games. She was the first female game designer to be hired by TSR, Inc. Her career at TSR stalled after she wrote a controversial ''Dungeons & Dragons'' adventure module that was withdrawn on the eve of publication and subsequently rewritten.
