The British Family
The British Family ( Bradshaws) are a family from Westerham, Kent in the United Kingdom who have become consumer champions for the promotion of British manufacturing and farming. James and Emily Bradshaw, along with their son Lucan, first rose to prominence in January 2013 with their challenge to buy only British goods and services. Various exploits of the family to promote British manufacturing have been widely publicized since. The family also organised the British Family Fayre event in Kent which was a country-fair-themed festival of British manufacturing and farming. ITV News
ITV News is the branding of news programmes on the British television network ITV. ITV has a long tradition of television news. Independent Television News (ITN) was founded to provide news bulletins for the network in 1955, and has since continued to produce all news programmes on ITV. The channel's news coverage has won awards from the Royal Television Society, Emmy Awards and BAFTAs. Westerham
Westerham is a town and civil parish in the Sevenoaks District of Kent, England. It is located 3.4 miles east of Oxted and 6 miles west of Sevenoaks, adjacent to the Kent border with both Greater London and Surrey. It is recorded as early as the 9th century, and was mentioned in the Domesday Book in a Norman form, ''Oistreham'' (compare Ouistreham in Normandy, ''Oistreham'' in 1086). ''Hām'' is Old English for a village or homestead, and so Westerham means a ''westerly homestead''. The River Darent flows through the town, and formerly powered three watermills. Daily Express
The ''Daily Express'' is a national daily United Kingdom middle-market newspaper printed in tabloid format. Published in London, it is the flagship of Express Newspapers, owned by publisher Reach plc. It was first published as a broadsheet in 1900 by Sir Arthur Pearson. Its sister paper, the ''Sunday Express'', was launched in 1918. In June 2022, it had an average daily circulation of 201,608. The paper rose to become the largest circulation newspaper in the world under Lord Beaverbrook, going from 2 million in the 1930s to 4 million in the 1940s. It was acquired by Richard Desmond's company Northern & Shell in 2000. Hugh Whittow was the editor from February 2011 until he retired in March 2018. Made In Britain (campaign)
Made in Britain is a not-for-profit organisation that supports British manufacturers with a registered collective mark system, to help identify and verify the geographic provenance of the goods they make in the UK. The mark also aims to represent a standard of unity for British manufacturing sectors and aims to promote them together, with social and other media visibility in the UK and around the world. The organisation works collaboratively with other UK trade bodies, government departments and other groups that support skilled jobs, responsible business and sustainable manufacturing growth.
