The Blackbirds (Norwegian Band)
The Blackbirds is a Norwegian rock band from Oslo. The band was formed in 1996, but it was not until 2001, when five became four, that they developed their own style. Two guitars, bass guitar and drums was the recipe for The Blackbirds elegant sound. The four had known each other for many years and this can easily be heard when they are playing. The Blackbirds is a very good live band with experience from hundreds of live shows throughout the country. In 2002, The Blackbirds song "Naked" was used as the main theme music for the TV show ''Trigger'' on NRK. On the final show, 10 May 2002, The Blackbirds played the theme song live. But only seven days after this important appearance for the band, Thor Lønning (guitar/vocasl) suffered from pneumothorax. This set him and the band for a whole year. When the band was back on track again, they played a lot of gigs in Norway before they met Martin Abrahamsen (co-producer/engineer) and Stein Bull Hansen (producer) and recorded the single " ... Halden (), between 1665 and 1928 known as Fredrikshald, is both a town and a municipality in Viken county, Norway. Hellbillies is a Norwegian rock band. Biography As of 2012, they have released thirteen albums—including a compilation and two live albums—as well as two live concert DVDs. They are among Norway's most popular recording artists. Their lyrics are written and sung in the dialect of the Hallingdal area of Norway and there is evidence of influence from traditional (folk) Norwegian music, giving a distinctive "Norwegian" flavor to their country music. Their early albums often included songs originally recorded by country music artists from the US with Hellbillies writing new lyrics in Norwegian. Øystein Greni
Øystein Greni (born 15 June 1974 in Oslo) is the singer and lead guitar player of the Norwegian rock and roll band BigBang. Biography Øystein Greni is the son of Thor Sigbjørn Greni, singer and songwriter of the Undertakers Circus, a 60/70s soul band. In 1992, Greni, Erik Tresselt and Christer Engen formed Bigbang which has since established its position as one of the principal rock acts of Norway. As the only consistent member throughout the band's history, Bigbang's success is often attributed to Greni's skills as a guitarist and songwriter. Greni also works as a music producer. In 2003, he produced the EP debut of Latin performer Maria Orieta (Greni's fiancée) ''Buenos Aires'' via the ''Grandsport Records'' indie label.
