''The Bird and the Bee Sides'' is a double EP by the American band Relient K. In the United States it was released on July 1, 2008. The double EP was released on a single disc, containing both ''The Nashville Tennis EP'' and ''The Bird and the Bee Sides''. ''The Nashville Tennis EP'' (whose title is a pun on Nashville, Tennessee) includes 13 tracks of new material that allowed the band to explore their sound by channeling country and ska influences, as well as feature compositions by band members other than Thiessen and Hoopes. ''The Bird and the Bee Sides'' is a collection of rarities or unreleased demos from earlier in the band's career. The collection debuted at No. 25 on the ''Billboard'' 200 with approximately 20,000 albums sold. Relient K is an American rock band formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio, by Matt Thiessen, Matt Hoopes, and Brian Pittman Board Message during the band members' third year in high school and their time at Malone University. The band is named after guitarist Hoopes' automobile, a Plymouth Reliant K car, with the spelling intentionally altered to avoid trademark infringement over the ''Reliant'' name. The group is known for its Christian rock, alternative Christian rock, and contemporary Christian music. The group is associated with the contemporary Christian music culture, most notably the Christian rock and punk scene. The group has also performed alongside secular artists. ''Apathetic EP'' is the fifth EP released by Relient K. It was released on November 8, 2005, and was initially packaged with copies of '' Mmhmm'', but is also available separately. The EP reached no. 94 on the Billboard 200. ''Employee of the Month EP'' is the third EP released by Relient K. Tracks 1 and 2 are from the band's subsequent third album, '' Two Lefts Don't Make a Right...but Three Do''.
