The Big Score (1983 Film)
''The Big Score'' is a 1983 American crime drama film directed by Fred Williamson. The film has music composed by Jay Chattaway. Story A Chicago cop is dismissed from the force unfairly and needs to clear his name. Accused of theft, he goes after people who committed the crime. Now that he is out of the force, he is not bound by the rules as he goes after the drug lord (played by Joe Spinnell). Richard Roundtree and John Saxon appear in the film as his fellow police officers. Fred Williamson
Frederick Robert Williamson (born March 5, 1938), also known as The Hammer, is an American actor and former professional American football defensive back who played mainly in the American Football League during the 1960s. Williamson is perhaps best known for his film career, starring as Tommy Gibbs in the 1973 crime drama film '' Black Caesar'' and its sequel ''Hell Up in Harlem''. Williamson also had other notable roles in other 1970s blaxploitation films such as '' Hammer'' (1972), ''That Man Bolt'' (1973) and '' Three the Hard Way'' (1974). D'Urville Martin
D'Urville Martin (February 11, 1939 – May 28, 1984) was an American actor in both film and television. He appeared in numerous 1970s movies in the blaxploitation genre. He also appeared in two unaired pilots of what would become ''All in the Family'' as Lionel Jefferson. Born in New York City, Martin began his career in the mid-1960s and soon appeared in prominent films such as '' Black Like Me'', ''Guess Who's Coming to Dinner'', and '' Rosemary's Baby''. Martin also directed films in his career, including ''Dolemite'', starring Rudy Ray Moore. Personal life D'Urville Martin was born in New York City in 1939. He had a daughter, Debra, with his first wife, Frances L. Johnson. After their divorce, he married Lillian Ferguson in 1966 and had two more children. Edward Matthew Lauter Jr. ( ; October 30, 1938 – October 16, 2013) was an American actor and stand-up comedian. He appeared in more than 200 films and TV series episodes in a career that spanned over 40 years. Early life Lauter was born and raised in Long Beach, New York, the son of Edward Matthew Lauter and Sally Lee, a 1920s Broadway actress and dancer. He was of German and Irish descent. After graduating from high school, he majored in English Literature in college and received a B.A. degree in 1961 from the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University. While in college, he played basketball. Lauter served for two years in the United States Army.
