The Big Fisherman
''The Big Fisherman'' is a 1959 American historical drama film directed by Frank Borzage about the life of Simon Peter, one of the disciples of Jesus. Starring Howard Keel, Susan Kohner and John Saxon, the production is adapted from the 1948 novel by Lloyd C. Douglas, which is closely related to Douglas' previous book, 1942's ''The Robe'' which, six years earlier, in 1953, had been adapted for the screen under the same title, ''The Robe''. The film was shot at Universal-International studios but released by Buena Vista, the film releasing company of Walt Disney Productions. ''The Robe'' ends with "the Big Fisherman" as a nickname for Peter; Jesus called him "the fisher of men" and "the Rock". A film poster is a poster used to promote and advertise a film primarily to persuade paying customers into a theater to see it. Alexander Scourby
Alexander Scourby (; November 13, 1913 – February 22, 1985) was an American film, television, and voice actor known for his deep and resonant voice and Mid-Atlantic accent. He is best known for his film role as the ruthless mob boss Mike Lagana in Fritz Lang's ''The Big Heat'' (1953), and is also particularly well-remembered in the English-speaking world for his landmark recordings of the entire King James Version audio Bible, which have been released in numerous editions. Marian Seldes
Marian Hall Seldes (August 23, 1928 – October 6, 2014) was an American actress. A five-time Tony Award nominee, she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for '' A Delicate Balance'' in 1967, and received subsequent nominations for ''Father's Day'' (1971), '' Deathtrap'' (1978–82), ''Ring Round the Moon'' (1999), and '' Dinner at Eight'' (2002). Lewis Raymond Stricklyn (October 8, 1928 – May 14, 2002) was an American film actor, stage actor, television actor, soap opera star and publicist. His acting career took off with B-movie Westerns that placed his boyish good looks playing opposite top talent of the time. Early years Stricklyn was born in Houston, Texas; his father was a sign painter. At the age of 16 Ray Stricklyn auditioned for a part in the play ''Ah, Wilderness'' and was given the lead role.
