Big Day
''Big Day'', originally titled ''A Day in the Life'', is an American television sitcom that first aired on ABC from November 28, 2006, to January 30, 2007. The series was co-produced by Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa and directed by Michael Spiller for Sony Pictures Television. Originally, it was supposed to debut on October 5, 2006, along with ''Notes from the Underbelly'', but ABC made a last-minute change in its schedule by moving ''Ugly Betty'' to Thursday, thus replacing both sitcoms whose "buzz" was not especially promising. ''Big Day'' was broadcast on Tuesdays at 9:00/8:00c. The timeslot was to be filled by another new sitcom that had a better "buzz," ''The Knights of Prosperity'', but ABC moved that program to Wednesdays to make ''Big Day'' a priority. ''Jour de fête'' (''The Big Day'') is a 1949 French comedy film starring Jacques Tati in his feature film directorial debut as an inept and easily distracted mailman in a backward French village. Shot largely in and around Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre, where Tati had lived during the Occupation, most of the actors were unknown and villagers served as extras. Plot On a public holiday, a young boy watches a travelling fair arrive in his village of Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre. "The Big Day" is an Australian television film, or rather a live television play, which aired in 1959. The fifth episode of the ''Shell Presents'' presentations of standalone television dramas, it originally aired 11 July 1959 on Melbourne station GTV-9, a video-tape was made of the broadcast and shown on Sydney station ATN-7 on 25 July 1959 (this was prior to the formation of the Nine Network and Seven Network). The album follows several mixtapes by the rapper including the reissue of his collaborative ''Merry Christmas Lil' Mama'' in 2017, and was his first solo project since ''Coloring Book'' in 2016. Barry Unsworth FRSL (10 August 19304 June 2012) was an English writer known for his historical fiction. He published 17 novels, and was shortlisted for the Booker Prize three times, winning once for the 1992 novel ''Sacred Hunger''. Biography Unsworth was born on 10 August 1930 in Wingate, a mining village in County Durham, England, to a family of miners. His father first entered the mines at age 12 and ordinarily Unsworth would have followed him as a miner. However, when his father was 19, he travelled to the United States for a few years and on returning to Britain entered the insurance business and thus began moving his family up the economic ladder and out of the mines. "He rescued my brother and me from that long chain of continuity that happens in mining villages," Unsworth said. ''Skylarking'' is the ninth studio album by the English rock band XTC, released 27 October 1986 on Virgin Records. Produced by American musician Todd Rundgren, it is a loose concept album about a nonspecific cycle, such as a day, a year, the seasons, or a life. The title refers to a type of bird (skylark), as well as the Royal Navy term "skylarking", which means "fooling around". It became one of XTC's best-known albums and is generally regarded as their finest work.
