Lash (band)
Lash were an all-female alternative/ punk rock band from Perth, Australia. The members Belinda-Lee Reid (vocals, guitar), Jaclyn Pearson (drums), Jessica Bennett (lead guitar) and Micaela Slayford (vocals, bass) who all met at the Catholic Santa Maria College. The group released one studio album, '' The Beautiful and the Damned'' in 2002. History 1996–2003: Exteria & Lash After being together for a few weeks, and at age 14, the girls, named Exteria, entered the song "Aloha Mr Hand" into the Open Youth Category for the under-18s WAM Song of the Year in the 1996 West Australian Music Industry Awards. Exteria won the $1,000 prize, and came to the attention of manager Andrew Klippel. In 2001, they renamed themselves Lash and signed to Festival Mushroom Records. Andrew Klippel
Andrew Klippel is an Australian music producer, songwriter and engineer. Klippel co-founded Australian dance-pop group Euphoria (1991-1993), before releasing solo music under the alias Elastic (1994) and A.K. Soul (1995+) Early life Andrew Klippel is the son of sculptor and teacher, Robert Klippel. Andrew spent some years in the UK, before returning to Australia. By the late 1980s, Andrew began playing live with his own small bands around Sydney, including ''Andrew Klippel and Electric Soul''.
