The Bastard Kings Of Rock
The Bastard Kings Of Rock were a local New York rock band formed by bassist Robt Ptak, of the band Size 14. The band was started after Ptak's formed band Artificial Joy disbanded in 2001. The Bastard Kings Of Rock were a three piece group with Aristotle Dreher on bass and Michael Hamilton on drums. Hamilton left the band in 2004 to join the band Vaeda Vaeda was an American three-piece alternative rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York in 2003. In September–October 2005 Vaeda was the Number 1 unsigned artist on the Myspace music charts and has since been featured in films, television and nat ... and was replaced by Alex Elena. Elena's stay in the band was short-lived as the band split later the same year. At one time former Psychotica drummer Buz also played with the band. The band self-released a 4-song sampler. Size 14
Size 14 was an American rock band in the late 1990s based out of Hollywood that gained some notoriety with the novelty song "Claire Danes Poster". This song appeared on the '' Dude, Where's My Car? soundtrack''; other Size 14 songs appeared on movies such as '' Sugar & Spice'', ''100 Girls'', and '' 100 Women''. They released one self-titled album on Volcano Entertainment in 1997. Size 14 started after Linus of Hollywood answered an ad placed by bassist Robt Ptak in ''Recycler'' magazine looking for a lead or rhythm guitarist. Initially Ptak and Linus listened to each other's tracks, and decided to work on the demos Linus brought to the table. They demoed all the material on Ptak's 8-track. Linus then pulled in his roommate Kevin Danczak to play guitar for Size 14. Pin Me Down
Pin Me Down were a pop/electronica/rock side project of guitarist Russell Lissack, of the British band Bloc Party, and guitarist/singer Milena Mepris. The band was managed by Robt Ptak, who had previously worked with Mepris in Ptak's project Artificial Joy. The band made their live debut as a 5–6 piece in May 2008 in London, supporting Yeasayer. Their first single "Cryptic" appears on ''Kitsuné Maison Compilation 5'' as track number 5. Kitsuné also released a remix single of Pin Me Down's "Cryptic" in June 2008, which included remixes by Paul Epworth, James Ellis, Lissack himself, and others. Vaeda
Vaeda was an American three-piece alternative rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York in 2003. In September–October 2005 Vaeda was the Number 1 unsigned artist on the Myspace music charts and has since been featured in films, television and national tours including the Vans Warped Tour and Rockstar Taste of Chaos. The band was based in Long Island, New York. The name originates from an alternate spelling of the word Veda which are the original sacred texts for the Hindu religion. The word itself means "knowledge" in Sanskrit. Additionally, there is a backronym derived from the name: Very Awesome Extra Double Awesome. Robt Ptak
Robt Ptak (born October 13, 1970) is an American rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, bassist, and record producer who is the co-founding member and bassist/backing vocalist for 1990s pop punk band Size 14. Career Size 14 The band Size 14 was formed when Ptak placed an ad in a Los Angeles classified magazine. Ptak and bandmate Linus of Hollywood recorded all of the band's early demos on Ptak's 8 Track. Ptak can also be heard singing backing vocals and the high falsettos parts on the band's songs. Ptak left the band in 1997 and was replaced by Ray Santangelo.
