Thai hip hop is hip hop music made in Thailand. Thai hip hop is distinguished from American hip hop by not only sound and language, but also by the culture from which the music is made. History The origin of Thai hip hop can be traced in Thailand from the mid-1980s, "Moo Tang Thong" (Moo's Golden Kick, หมูแข้งทอง) by Mister Tang Mo (มิสเตอร์แตงโม) in 1985 is credited as the first to sing hip hop music in the Thai language. However, there were earlier pop records which dabbled with rap such as Thaneth Warakulnukroh "Buea Kon Bon" (เบื่อคนบ่น), Domenant "Pak" (ปาก), and Rewat Buddhinan "Mun Plak Dee Na" (มันแปลกดีนะ). The Thai hip hop scene started in early 1990s such as Jetrin Wattanasin and Touch Na Takuatung. Phleng Thai Sakon
''Phleng Thai sakon'' ( th, เพลงไทยสากล) is a Thai term translating roughly as "international-style Thai music". It refers to Thai music in which traditional elements are blended with the use of Western notation and instruments. In the narrow sense, the term refers to the early movement in which this style of music was popularized. This roughly corresponds to the first half of the twentieth century, until the 1950s, when the style was split along cultural lines between the rural '' luk thung'' and the urban ''luk krung''. In the wider sense, the term refers to all genres of Westernized Thai music (i.e. excluding folk and classical Thai), including '' luk thung'', ''luk krung'', ''phleng phuea chiwit'' and modern Thai pop (pop, luktung-pop, lukkwad-pop) and rock. As a genre, the most representative composer of ''phleng Thai sakon'' is Eua Sunthornsanan, who popularized the genre during the 1930s – 1940s. Thammasat University Massacre
The 6 October 1976 massacre, or the 6 October event ( th, เหตุการณ์ 6 ตุลา ) as it is known in Thailand, was a violent crackdown by Thai police and lynching by right-wing paramilitaries and bystanders against leftist protesters who had occupied Bangkok's Thammasat University and the adjacent Sanam Luang, on 6 October 1976. Prior to the massacre, thousands of leftists, including students, workers and others, had been holding ongoing demonstrations against the return of former dictator Thanom Kittikachorn to Thailand since mid-September. Official reports state that 46 were killed (on both sides) and 167 were wounded, while unofficial reports state that more than 100 demonstrators were killed. TikTok
TikTok, known in China as Douyin (), is a short-form video hosting service owned by the Chinese company ByteDance. It hosts user-submitted videos, which can range in duration from 15 seconds to 10 minutes. TikTok is an international version of Douyin, which was released in the Chinese market in September 2016. It launched in 2017 for iOS and Android in most markets outside of mainland China; however, it became available worldwide only after merging with another Chinese social media service, Musical.ly, on 2 August 2018. TikTok and Douyin have almost the same user interface but no access to each other's content. Their servers are each based in the market where the respective app is available. Stray Kids (; often abbreviated as SKZ) is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2017 reality show of the same name. Thaitanium ( th, ไทยเทเนี่ยม) is a Thai American hip hop music group. Among the first of Thai rap artists, the group formed in 2000 by K.H. - Khanngoen "Khan" Nuanual, P.
