''Thirteen'' (stylized as ''Th1rt3en'') is the thirteenth studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth. It was first released in Japan on October 27, 2011, and worldwide on November 1, 2011. It is the first Megadeth studio album since ''The World Needs a Hero'' (2001) to feature bassist and founding member David Ellefson, who returned to the band in 2010. ''Thirteen'' debuted at number 11 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, selling 42,000 copies in its first week. The album broke into the top 20 in several other markets as well. It has sold about 120,000 copies in the United States as of December 2012. The album has received positive reviews from critics. The album followed the successful ''Endgame'', released two years previously, and was recorded in late spring 2011. The Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance was an award presented at the 2012 and 2013 Grammy Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1958 and originally called the Gramophone Awards. "Peace Sells" is a song by American thrash metal band Megadeth from their 1986 album '' Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?'', written by Dave Mustaine. The song was released as the band's second ever single in November 1986. "Peace Sells" was the groups breakthrough hit, and is regarded as one of the best songs in the history of heavy metal Since 1985, the song has since been a constant at Megadeth concerts. According to David Ellefson, it became quickly apparent when playing the song live prior to recording the album that "Peace Sells" would be a hit. Christopher Alan Broderick (born March 6, 1970) is an American musician, best known as a former guitarist of the heavy metal band Megadeth. He is also formerly the lead guitarist and keyboardist for Jag Panzer, appearing on four of Jag Panzer's albums '' The Age of Mastery'', ''Thane to the Throne'' (a concept album about Shakespeare's ''Macbeth''), ''Mechanized Warfare'' and '' Casting the Stones'' before moving on to Megadeth, replacing Glen Drover. Before joining Megadeth and while still in Jag Panzer, he was also a touring guitarist for Nevermore between 2001 and 2003 and then again between 2006 and 2007.
