Terror Of The Lichemaster
''Terror of the Lichemaster'' is a board game published by Games Workshop in 1986 as a mini-campaign for ''Warhammer Fantasy Battle''. Games Workshop also offered related metal miniatures that could be purchased for use with the scenarios. Gameplay ''Terror of the Lichemaster'' is a supplement which consists of a selection of 16 cardstock buildings, as well as a campaign of three linked ''Warhammer'' scenarios introducing the character Heinrich Kemler as an undead lich. Kemler would return as the players' nemesis in many more ''Warhammer'' products. Cardboard cutouts for the various non-player characters are also included, although the gamemaster could substitute separately purchased metal miniatures offered by Games Workshop. Background information about the setting of the Frugelhorm Valley, Gimbrin's Mine, Bogels Farm and Frugelhofen Village is also included. Ian Miller (born 11 November 1946) is a British fantasy illustrator and writer best known for his quirkily etched gothic style and macabre sensibility, and noted for his book and magazine cover and interior illustrations, including covers for books by H. P. Rick Priestley
Rick Priestley (born 29 March 1959) is a British game designerSlingshot, No279, Nov 2011, p1 and author mainly known as the creator of ''Warhammer'' miniature wargame. Career Rick Priestley, with Bryan Ansell and Richard Halliwell, designed the Fantasy miniature wargame ''Warhammer Fantasy Battle'' for Games Workshop. The company released the game in 1983. Priestley also developed a science fiction counterpart for this wargame, which was released as '' Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader'' in October 1987. Priestley, with Andy Jones and Marc Gascoigne of ''Warhammer'', developed the idea for the Black Library which, as a result, produced the magazine ''Inferno!'' (July 1997–November 2004).
