Terrance Gore
Terrance Jamar Gore (born June 8, 1991) is an American professional baseball outfielder who is a free agent. He played college baseball at Gulf Coast Community College. He made his MLB debut in 2014 with the Kansas City Royals and has also played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves and New York Mets. Gore is regarded as one of the fastest players in baseball and is mainly used as a pinch runner. Gore is frequently added to expanded rosters on contending teams late in the season and was on the postseason roster of a championship team three times - the Royals in 2015, the Dodgers in 2020, and the Braves in 2021. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). These numbers are shorthand designations useful in baseball scorekeeping and are not necessarily the same as the squad numbers worn on player uniforms. Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball organization and the oldest major professional sports league in the world. George Scott (first Baseman)
George Charles Scott Jr. (March 23, 1944 – July 28, 2013), nicknamed "Boomer", was an American professional baseball player, coach and manager. He played in Major League Baseball as a first baseman from to , most prominently for the Boston Red Sox where he was a member of the American League pennant winning team and, with the Milwaukee Brewers where he was the American League home run and RBI champion. A three-time All-Star player, Scott was one of the most accomplished defensive first basemen of his era, winning eight Gold Glove Awards between 1967 and 1976. Omaha Storm Chasers
The Omaha Storm Chasers are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. They are located in Papillion, Nebraska, a suburb southwest of Omaha, and play their home games at Werner Park, which opened in 2011. The team previously played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium from 1969 to 2010. Omaha has been the only Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals since their inception in the 1969 Major League Baseball expansion. They were originally known as the Omaha Royals when established as a member of the Triple-A American Association in 1969. Mike Sweeney
Michael John Sweeney (born July 22, 1973) is a former Major League Baseball designated hitter and first baseman. Sweeney played his first 13 seasons in the majors with the Kansas City Royals, first as a catcher, then at first base and designated hitter. Sweeney also played for the Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, and Philadelphia Phillies. On March 25, 2011, Sweeney retired from baseball. Gerald Alphonse "Jay" Witasick Jr. (; born August 28, 1972) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He pitched all or parts of 12 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1996 to 2007, primarily as a relief pitcher. High school and college Witasick attended C. Milton Wright High School (Bel Air, Maryland) and Brevard Community College (Melbourne, Florida) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football.
