Jay Witasick
Gerald Alphonse "Jay" Witasick Jr. (; born August 28, 1972) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He pitched all or parts of 12 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1996 to 2007, primarily as a relief pitcher. High school and college Witasick attended C. Milton Wright High School (Bel Air, Maryland) and Brevard Community College (Melbourne, Florida) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He also played in the Maryland Semi-Professional Baseball League All-Star Game in 1991. Professional career Witasick was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2nd round of the 1993 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his MLB debut on July 7, 1996 as a member of the Oakland Athletics against the California Angels. In 1997 and 1998, he spent time with the Athletics in spring training. Eric Byrnes
Eric James Byrnes (born February 16, 1976), is a baseball analyst and former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics, Colorado Rockies, Baltimore Orioles, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Seattle Mariners. Byrnes retired from playing in 2010 and was an analyst for MLB Network until 2021. Byrnes was considered a player who relied on his speed and hustle. John Vander Wal
John Henry Vander Wal (born April 29, 1966) is an American former Major League Baseball left-handed hitter who played outfield and first base for eight different teams over 14 seasons. He is now a coach for the West Michigan Whitecaps. Early life Vander Wal grew up in Hudsonville, Michigan and graduated from Hudsonville High School in Hudsonville. He was drafted in the 8th round of the 1984 Major League Baseball Draft by the Houston Astros. He did not sign with Houston, and instead attended Western Michigan University. Grover Cleveland Alexander (February 26, 1887 – November 4, 1950), nicknamed "Old Pete", was an American Major League Baseball pitcher. He played from 1911 through 1930 for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, and St. Louis Cardinals. He was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1938. D'Angelo Jiménez (born Dec. 21, 1977) is a former Major League Baseball player. He was an infielder that played primarily at second base. He made his major league debut with the New York Yankees in . He had been considered one of the Yankees' top prospects, but in early 2000 Jiménez injured his back in a car crash that required him to miss the 2000 season. Brian Meadows
Matthew Brian Meadows (born November 21, 1975) is a retired Major League Baseball relief pitcher. Meadows pitched with the Florida Marlins for two years. He won 11 games in back to back seasons (1998, 1999) despite having an ERA over 5.00 in those seasons. In 2000, he was traded to the San Diego Padres, he made 22 starts for the Padres before being traded to the Kansas City Royals. He finished the season with a record of 13-10 and an ERA of 5.13 in 33 games. In 2001, he had a 1-6 record with an ERA of 6.97 in 10 games for the Royals. He was released following the 2001 season.
