Termas De Río Hondo
Termas de Río Hondo is a spa city in Santiago del Estero Province, Argentina. It has 27,838 inhabitants as per the . It is located on the banks of the Dulce River, 65 km north of the provincial capital Santiago del Estero, near the artificial Río Hondo Lake. The hot springs (Spanish: ''termas'', Quechua: ''yacu rupaj'') of the area have a temperature of over 30 °C (86 °F), and have made the town a popular spa resort for Argentines, who enjoy the waters recommended against high blood pressure and rheumatism. Two public pools, ''La Olla'' and the ''Pileta Municipal'', are near the town centre, along with many well-regarded hotels and restaurants. Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo is a motorsport circuit located in Termas de Río Hondo, Argentina. The circuit was opened in 2008 and underwent a complete overhaul and rebuild process in 2012, based on design by the Italian circuit designer . Las Termas Airport
Termas de Río Hondo International Airport ( es, link=no, Aeropuerto Internacional de Termas de Río Hondo) is an airport serving the city of Termas de Río Hondo in Santiago del Estero Province, Argentina. It was built between 2010 and 2012 by Aeropuertos Argentina 2000. The airport was inaugurated on 24 July 2012 by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner; one month later the first flight from Buenos Aires landed at the airport. Up to the late-1970s, there was an airport here, but it was closed, as both Santiago del Estero, away from Termas de Río Hondo, and San Miguel de Tucumán, away, had airports with paved runways.
