Teoh Tiang Chye
Teoh Tiang Chye was a merchant, philanthropist, and Justice of the Peace in Malacca. Early life Teoh Tiang Chye was born in February 1863. He was educated in Malacca Free School from 1875 - 1877 before taking apprenticeship in various Chinese shops in Singapore and Klang. In 1890, together with Dr W T B Falls, a British Surgeon, they set up Malacca Dispensary. Later on in 1911, he handed over the Malacca Dispensary to his second son. As the proprietor of "Malacca Dispensary"; he is well known to have stocked his shop with ample perfumes and drugs to meet demands. Prior to this, dispensaries in Malacca has a bad image of not meeting the communities needs. In September 1890, he was granted a license to conduct sales in Malacca under the "Bills of Sales Ordinance 1886" Thereon, he was active as an auctioneer. Josephine Teo Li Min (née Yong; zh, s=杨莉明, t=楊莉明, poj=Iôⁿ Lī-bêng, p=Yáng Lìmíng; born 1968) is a Singaporean politician who has been serving as Minister for Communications and Information and Minister-in-charge of the Cyber Security Agency and Smart Nation Initiative since 2021, and Second Minister for Home Affairs since 2017. Teo Chee Hean ( zh, s=张志贤, poj=Tiuⁿ Chì-hiân, p=Zhāng Zhìxián; born 27 December 1954) is a Singaporean politician and former two-star rear-admiral who has been serving as Senior Minister of Singapore since 2019 and Coordinating Minister for National Security since 2015. The Hokkien () variety of Chinese is a Southern Min language native to and originating from the Minnan region, where it is widely spoken in the south-eastern part of Fujian in southeastern mainland China. Hanyu Pinyin (), often shortened to just pinyin, is the official romanization system for Standard Mandarin Chinese in China, and to some extent, in Singapore and Malaysia. It is often used to teach Mandarin, normally written in Chinese form, to learners already familiar with the Latin alphabet. Teo Ghim Heng
The Woodlands double murders were the murders of pregnant housewife Choong Pei Shan (钟佩珊 Zhōng Peìshān) and her daughter Teo Zi Ning (张梓宁 Zhāng Zǐníng) by her husband Teo Ghim Heng (张锦兴 Zhāng Jĭnxīng) on 20 January 2017. The murders, which took place in their Woodlands flat in Singapore, were supposedly committed due to Teo and his wife arguing with each other about their financial difficulties and during the argument, Teo was provoked by Choong's insults and thus strangled her with a towel, before he killed his daughter Zi Ning. Felicia Teo Wei Ling ( – 30 June 2007; 张玮凌 Zhāng Weǐlíng), was a Chinese Singaporean who was presumed dead after she went missing on 30 June 2007. She was alleged to be murdered by her two friends whom she visited on the same night. Teo was reported missing four days after she disappeared, and there were both search efforts and investigations made to trace her whereabouts.
