Teofil Codreanu
Teofil Codreanu (1 February 1941 – 10 January 2016) was a Romanian footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Club career Teofil Codreanu, nicknamed ''Parpală'' was born on 1 February 1941 in Bucharest, Romania and started to play football in 1956 at junior level at CCA București. In 1959 he went to play for Rapid București where on 18 March 1962 he made his Divizia A debut under coach Ion Mihăilescu in a 1–1 against Minerul Lupeni. He spent all of his career at Rapid, which consisted of 12 seasons in which he helped the club win the 1966–67 Divizia A which was the first title in the club's history, being used by coach Valentin Stănescu in 23 matches in which he scored two goals. He also won the 1971–72 Cupa României, playing four games in the campaign, including the final. 1967–68 European Cup
The 1967–68 European Cup was the 13th European Cup, UEFA's premier club football tournament. The competition was won by Manchester United, who beat Benfica 4–1 in the final at Wembley Stadium, London. The European Cup title marked the tenth year since the Munich air disaster, in which eight United players were killed and their manager, Matt Busby, was left close to death, the day after earning a place in the semi-finals of the 1957–58 competition. It was also the first time an English side had won the trophy. The away goals rule (which had already been used in the Cup Winners' Cup and the Fairs' Cup) was introduced if aggregate scores were level after two legs, but only for the first round of the competition. Extra time goals were not included in the rule. Ilie Oană
Ilie Oană (16 August 1918 – 27 April 1993) was a football player and manager who represented and coached the Romania national football team. Career Oană was born in Indiana Harbor to Romanian parents who emigrated from Transylvania before the outbreak of World War I. In 1921, his parents moved back to their homeland, settling in Sibiu after the 1918 Union of Transylvania with Romania. Oană began his football career with local side Șoimii Sibiu. He joined Petrolul Ploiești in 1937. Because he was born in the United States, he was nicknamed "Americanul" ''(The American)''. Oană made two appearances for Romania, making his debut in a friendly which ended 2–2 against Hungary in October 1939. He also played in a 0–0 against Poland at the 1948 Balkan Cup.
