Teodor Heba
Teodor Heba (10 June 1914 – 30 May 2001) was an Albanian politician who served as Chairman of the People's Assembly of Albania from 1950–1951. Early life Teodor Heba was born in Tirana on 10 June 1914. At the age of 11, he emigrated to Romania where he attended middle school and completed a 4 class superior trade school. In 1933, he returns to Albania and joins the Communist Group of Shkodër. He became a member of the Communist Party of Albania in 1941. The following year, Heba was arrested by the fascist authorities and was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment. He managed to escape from prison in July 1943. Albanians
The Albanians (; sq, Shqiptarët ) are an ethnic group and nation native to the Balkan Peninsula who share a common Albanian ancestry, culture, history and language. They primarily live in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia as well as in Croatia, Greece, Italy and Turkey. They also constitute a large diaspora with several communities established across Europe, the Americas and Oceania. Albanians have Paleo-Balkanic origins. Manush Myftiu
Manush Myftiu (16 January 1919 – 20 October 1997) was an Albanian politician during the country's socialist period. He served in a number of positions, most recently as the deputy prime minister. Early life Myftiu was born in Vlora to a family of Albanian Muslim landowners. In 1939 he graduated from a Classical Lycée in Rome and while in his hometown joined a communist cell. From 1940 to 1941 he studied at the Medical Faculty of the University of Turin but did not complete his studies, returning to Vlora where he was obliged to join the Albanian Fascist Youth. While a member of it he simultaneously remained a member of a communist cell, carrying out clandestine activities against fascism and becoming a member of the Communist Party of Albania (from 1948 the Party of Labour of Albania) after it was founded. Mihal Prifti
Mihal Prifti (25 September 1918 – 16 March 1986) was an Albanian politician and diplomat. He served as Chairman of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania from 1951 to 1954. A native of Lunxhëri, he later served as Albania's first ambassador to the Soviet Union. Early life Mihal Prifti was born in the village of Gjatë, Gjirokastër on 25 September 1918. At the age of 11, he moved to Athens, Greece with his family and there attended secondary school. Later he enrolled at the University of Athens, majoring in physics and mathematics. After a brief time at the university, he moved on to pursue his studies in Italy and in March 1941 enrolled at the University of Rome, Faculty of Engineering. The Party of Labour of Albania ( sq, Partia e Punës e Shqipërisë, PPSh), sometimes referred to as the Albanian Workers' Party (AWP), was the ruling and sole legal party of Albania during the communist period (1945–1991).
