Trade, Tennessee
Trade is an unincorporated community in Johnson County, Tennessee, United States. The easternmost community in the state, Trade is located between the towns of Mountain City, Tennessee, and Boone, North Carolina, along US 421. Generally considered Tennessee's oldest community, Trade was established as a trading outpost in the 18th century, and was visited by English-speakers as early as 1673. Mountain City, Tennessee
Mountain City is a town in and the county seat of Johnson County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 2,383 at the 2000 census and 2,531 at the 2010 census. It is the northeasternmost county seat in Tennessee. In addition, at an elevation of , it has the distinction of being the highest incorporated city in the state. Holston Lake
South Holston Lake is located near the cities of Abingdon, Virginia and Bristol, Virginia / Bristol, Tennessee, and is a impoundment operated by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Interstate 26 (I-26) is a main route of the Interstate Highway System in the Southeastern United States. Interstate 81 (I-81) is part of the Interstate Highway System that runs northward from Dandridge, Tennessee, to the Thousand Islands Bridge at the Canadian border near Fishers Landing, New York. In Tennessee, I-81 serves the northeastern part of the state, running from its southern terminus with I-40 in Dandridge to the Virginia state line in Bristol.
