Elora is an unincorporated community in Lincoln County, Tennessee, United States. It lies approximately southeast of Fayetteville and north of the Alabama state line. It has a post office with zip code 37328. Elora is concentrated around the intersection of Tennessee State Route 121 and Tennessee State Route 122 (John Hunter Highway). SR 121 connects Elora to U.S. Route 64 and the Tims Ford Lake area to the north and Madison County, Alabama, to the southwest, while SR 122 connects Elora with Huntland to the east. Lincoln County is a county located in the south central part of the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, the population was 35,319. Its county seat and largest city is Fayetteville. Tims Ford Lake
Tims Ford Lake is a reservoir run by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in southern middle Tennessee. The lake encompasses 10,700 acres (16.7 square miles) and approximately 250 miles of shoreline. The Tims Ford Dam was named from an early ford crossing the Elk River near Winchester. The ford was on or near land owned by Abner Mansfield Tims, an early Franklin County settler. The ford was used until about 1885 when the Tims Ford Bridge was constructed across the river. The massive dam and reservoir construction program that was undertaken by TVA following its creation in 1933, required the purchase of over one million acres of land for the creation of 34 reservoirs in five of the seven states in the Tennessee Valley region. State Route 15 (SR 15) is a west–east route from Memphis to Monteagle. For much of its route it has an unsigned concurrency with U.S. Route 64. SR 15 does travel through the southern part of all 3 Grand Divisions of the state: West Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, and East Tennessee. Route description Shelby County SR 15 begins as a secondary highway in Shelby County in Northern Memphis at an interchange with SR 14 (Austin Peay Highway). It proceeds east to Bartlett and intersects US 70/US 79/US 64/ SR 1, where it becomes the unsigned companion route of US 64 and becomes a primary highway.
