Axiom
An axiom, postulate, or assumption is a statement that is taken to be true, to serve as a premise or starting point for further reasoning and arguments. The word comes from the Ancient Greek word (), meaning 'that which is thought worthy or fit' or 'that which commends itself as evident'. The term has subtle differences in definition when used in the context of different fields of study. As defined in classic philosophy, an axiom is a statement that is so evident or well-established, that it is accepted without controversy or question. As used in modern logic, an axiom is a premise or starting point for reasoning. As used in mathematics, the term ''axiom'' is used in two related but distinguishable senses: "logical axioms" and "non-logical axioms". Logical axioms are usually statements that are taken to be true within the system of logic they define and are often shown in symbolic form (e.g., (''A'' and ''B'') implies ''A''), while non-logical axioms (e.g., ) are actually ...

Tenet (band)
Tenet (stylized in all caps) is a heavy metal band formed as a side project by Jed Simon of Strapping Young Lad and Zimmers Hole. Background Tenet was formed by Jed Simon in the summer of 1996. Together with Steve Wheeler (Zimmers Hole drummer at the time), they started getting Simon's ideas down to demo-tape form, but while both continued playing with their respective bands, nothing much happened for Tenet apart from some casual jam-sessions, which among others also included musicians like Stu Carruthers (Grip Inc.) Simon had met guitarist Glen Alvelais (ex- Forbidden) in 1997 when Strapping Young Lad was touring with Testament, with whom Alvelais was playing at the time. After becoming friends, Simon asked Alvelais to join Tenet. After signing a deal with Century Media Records, Simon began working on ''Sovereign'' with bassist Byron Stroud (Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad, Zimmers Hole) as well as drummer Adrian Erlandsson (At The Gates, The Haunted, Cradle of Filth, ...

On February 3, 2021, the score was nominated for Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score for the 78th Golden Globe Awards. Production Ludwig Göransson composed the score after Nolan's frequent collaborator Hans Zimmer had committed himself to the 2021 film ''Dune'', which Zimmer wanted to do since the 1980s. Sator Square
The Sator Square (or the Rotas-Sator Square, or the Templar Magic Square) is a two-dimensional acrostic class of word square containing a five-word Latin palindrome. The earliest Sator squares were found at several Roman-era sites, all in ROTAS-form, with the earliest discovery at Pompeii (and also likely pre-A.D. 62). The earliest square that included explicit additional Christian-associated imagery dates from the sixth century, and by medieval times Sator squares had been found across Europe, Asia Minor, and North Africa. ''Encyclopedia Britannica'' called it "the most familiar lettered square in the Western world". A significant volume of academic research has been published on the square, but after more than a century, there is no consensus on its origin and meaning. The discovery of the "Paternoster theory" in 1926 led to a brief consensus amongst academics that the square was created by early Christians, but the subsequent discoveries at Pompeii led many academics to ...

The company sold one TENET 210 before going out of business, but of the four companies started at that time to serve the timesharing market, it was the only one to sell a product. History The TENET 210 ultimately traces its history to a project within Fairchild Semiconductor's research and development center in Palo Alto, California run by Gordon Moore. A department managed by Rex Rice was developing a machine specifically for the timesharing market. Known as the Symbol IIR, the design concept was a machine th ...

George Tenet
George John Tenet (born January 5, 1953) is an American intelligence official and academic who served as the Director of Central Intelligence (DCI) for the United States Central Intelligence Agency, as well as a Distinguished Professor in the Practice of Diplomacy at Georgetown University. Tenet held the position as the DCI from July 1997 to July 2004, making him the second-longest-serving director in the agency's history—behind Allen Welsh Dulles—as well as one of the few DCIs to serve under two U.S. presidents of opposing political parties. He played a key role in overseeing intelligence regarding weapons of mass destruction in advance of the Iraq War. A 2005 Inspector General's report found that Tenet bears "ultimate responsibility" for the United States intelligence community's failure to develop a plan to control al Qaeda in the lead-up to 9/11.
