Templederry Kenyons GAA
Templederry Kenyons GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the village of Templederry. History Templederry affiliated as a club in 1887 with FR J. Frost C.C. and James Coughlan of Latteragh the leading organisers. However, from 1906 to the end of the 1920s the club had very little success. In 1931, a re-united Templederry parish team reached the North Tipperary Intermediate hurling final for the first time and had a comprehensive 7–4 to 3–3 victory over Roscrea. Templederry then went up to Senior but were unable to make the breakthrough and returned to Intermediate ranks in the late 1930s. Hurling ( ga, iománaíocht, ') is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic Irish origin, played by men. One of Ireland's native Gaelic games, it shares a number of features with Gaelic football, such as the field and goals, the number of players and much terminology. The same game played by women is called camogie ('), which shares a common Gaelic root. The objective of the game is for players to use an ash wood stick called a hurley (in Irish a ', pronounced or ) to hit a small ball called a ' between the opponent's goalposts either over the crossbar for one point or under the crossbar into a net guarded by a goalkeeper for three points. Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). Borrisokane GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Tipperary in Ireland. Located in the town of Borrisokane, it is one of the oldest Gaelic games clubs in Ireland. Newport GAA
Newport GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the town of Newport. Lacken Park Named after Paddy Ryan Lacken, and known locally as "The Park". It has four changing rooms (Home on right). With a club house at the end with many Newport GAA memorabilia as well as a kitchen a Referee's room while a meeting room also in the building. There are three pitches, a main pitch with a stand and great floodlight facilities. Separating the two Juvenile pitches and the main pitch is a hurling wall. The Juvenile pitch is very well designed with "The Hill" behind the far goal where the younger supporters watch on from. The Juvenile pitch is also floodlit, while the even younger teams (U8-10) play in a junior pitch with smaller goals and a shorter pitch. Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship, formerly Séamus Ó Riain Cup, (known for sponsorship reasons as the FBD Insurance Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 2017 for the second tier hurling teams in the county of Tipperary in Ireland. The series of games are played during the spring, summer and autumn months with the cup final currently being played at Semple Stadium in October. It is sometimes played as the curtain-raiser to the senior final. The prize for the winning team is the Séamus Ó Riain Cup. The cup begins with a group stage and is followed by a knock-out stage. Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1979 for the third-tier hurling teams in the county of Tipperary in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at Semple Stadium in October. The championship has always been played on a regional basis, whereby the respective champions from the Mid, North, South and West championships contest the county series of games. However, in recent years, the championship has followed the same system as the senior grade in Tipperary. Currently (2018) there are 21 teams in the county championship divided up into 6 groups (3 groups with 4 teams, 3 groups with 3 teams). Ballinahinch GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the parish of Killoscully and Ballinahinch in the north-west of County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Adrian Ryan
Adrian Ryan (born 19 June 1990), is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Templederry Kenyons and has been a member of the Tipperary senior inter-county hurling team since 2012. He is a cousin of fellow Tipperary hurler Gearóid Ryan and Gearóid has disowned him since he missed that straight forward free against Lorrah in the 2018 North Quarterfinal.
