Tagus
The Tagus ( ; es, Tajo ; pt, Tejo ; see #Name, below) is the longest river in the Iberian Peninsula. The river rises in the Montes Universales near Teruel, in mid-eastern Spain, flows , generally west with two main south-westward sections, to empty into the Atlantic Ocean in Lisbon. Its Tagus Basin, drainage basin covers – exceeded in the peninsula only by the Douro. The river is highly used. Several dams and diversions supply drinking water to key population centres of central Spain and Portugal; dozens of hydroelectric stations create power. Between dams it follows a very constricted course, but after Castle of Almourol, Almourol, Portugal it has a wide alluvium, alluvial valley, floodplain, prone to flooding. Tejo (sport)
Tejo (), also known, to a lesser degree, as turmequé (), is a traditional throwing sport in Colombia. It is characteristic for its use of small targets containing gunpowder, which explode on impact. History There is not one widely accepted theory on the origins of tejo. In fact, it is believed that many of the current theories circulating on the internet might be fictitious and a result of "word of mouth" and speculation. It is, however, widely accepted that the sport has origins in native aboriginals from the center of Colombia, where it might have been played in a similar form. Another theory presented by the Colombian government on its website describes the game as having originated more than 500 years ago. In this theory, presented by one of the most important authorities in the country, the sport was played by native people that would use a golden disc called ''zepguagoscua''. Tejo (Argentina)
Tejo () is a precision sport in the family of the Bocce and the petanque. Tejo can be played by men and women of all ages. History The sport was born as a beach game on the coast of Argentina in the mid-nineteenth century. Over the years, it spread across Argentina and neighboring countries. It was elected in 2015 by the Ministry of Sports of the Argentine nation as an indigenous sport for the transplanted Olympics carried out in the city of Mar Del Plata and since 2018 is organized worldwide by the International Association of Tejo (AIT). Gameplay Tejo is played between two opposing teams. They play by throwing a series of small discs called tejos (they have two different colours, one for each team) in a rectangular field. They try to score points, winning with 12 (traditionally 15). Tutmonda Esperantista Junulara Organizo
The World Esperanto Youth Organization ( eo, Tutmonda Esperantista Junulara Organizo, TEJO) is an organization dedicated to supporting young Esperanto speakers around the world and promote the use of Esperanto. TEJO was founded in 1938 as the ''Tutmonda Junular-Organizo'' (World Youth Organization) and took its current name in 1952. In 1956, TEJO became the youth section of the Universal Esperanto Association (UEA). In 1971, the finances and administration of TEJO were fully integrated into those of UEA. TEJO is an youth organization, organization for young Esperanto speakers. TEJO has individual members as well as member organizations. There are 42 member organizations, as well as 13 national organizations that TEJO has contact with but that are not members.
