Teddy Okereafor
Teddy Okereafor (born 11 November 1992) is a British professional basketball player for the Cheshire Phoenix of the British Basketball League (BBL). Okereafor played college basketball for Virginia Commonwealth University and Rider University. He is also a member of the Great Britain Men's National team. High school career Okereafor attended the Christchurch School in Christchurch, Virginia where he led his high school team to a 23-6 record as the Virginia Prep League Player of the Year. He earned First Team All-State, averaging 13.1 points and 7.2 assists. College career After graduating from Christchurch School, Okereafor played two years of college basketball for VCU. After the 2012–13 season, Dillard transferred to Rider. He had to sit out one season under NCAA rules. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. EuroBasket 2017
EuroBasket 2017 was the 40th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe and held between 31 August and 17 September 2017. Beginning from 2017, the continental championships take place every four years with a similar system of qualification as for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Like the previous edition, the tournament was co-hosted by four countries. Games in the group stage were held in Turkey, Finland, Israel and Romania. The knock-out phase was played in Istanbul, Turkey. Slovenia won their first-ever tournament after defeating Serbia 93–85 in the final. The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. The Korvpalli Meistriliiga ( en, Basketball Champions League), known as the OlyBet Korvpalli Meistriliiga for sponsorship reasons, is the highest tier level and most important professional basketball league in Estonia. It is controlled by the Estonian Basketball Association. The first Estonian Basketball Championship tournament was held in 1925. During Soviet era (1941–1991) the league was called the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic Championship.
