Teddy Lo
Teddy Lo (born 1974 in Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong-based artist known for his work with the medium and technology of light, especially LED light. His work explores neo-transcendental ideas in the physical-scientific world. Biography Teddy Lo was born and raised in Hong Kong with his father’s family background in technological manufacturing and mother was an artist with family background from the deep mountains of Taiwan, making a living as farmers and hunters. While growing up, Lo was captivated by his perceived difference of basic human needs in technology spending his time divided in big metropolitan cities and rural areas. Having been introduced to the works of Claude Monet at a young age, he began to develop a fondness for fine arts. Maker Faire is a convention of do it yourself aka-DIY enthusiasts started by ''Make'' magazine in 2006. Participants come from a wide variety of interests, such as robotics, 3D printing, computers, arts and crafts, and hacker culture. Ryan Doyle (artist)
Ryan C. Doyle is a visual artist known for his large-scale fabricated sculptures, Float (parade), parade floats, art cars, and sculptures, sometimes involving robotics, animatronics, pyrotechnics, and military technologies. He is from the Twin Cities, Minnesota, and resides in Detroit, Michigan, where he has contributed to permanent installations at Lincoln Street Art Park, The Lincoln Street Art Park and Recycle Here! recycling center. Ryan Doyle attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and majored in 3D Design and Kinetic Sculpture. He was an apprentice for prop and animatronics artist Christian Ristow after college. Persistence of vision traditionally refers to the optical illusion that occurs when visual perception of an object does not cease for some time after the rays of light proceeding from it have ceased to enter the eye. The illusion has also been described as "retinal persistence", "persistence of impressions", simply "persistence" and other variations. A very commonly given example of the phenomenon is the apparent fiery trail of a glowing coal or burning stick while it is whirled around in the dark. The Hong Kong Science Park (HKSTP; ) is a science park in Pak Shek Kok, New Territories, Hong Kong. It sits on the Tolo Harbour waterfront, near the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
