Ted Purdy
Theodore Townsend Purdy (born August 15, 1973) is an American professional golfer. He has won one PGA Tour tournament, the 2005 EDS Byron Nelson Championship. He has also won on the Nationwide Tour and the Asian Tour. Early life Purdy was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Brophy College Preparatory in 1992. He went to the University of Arizona as a finance major and was inducted into its Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. Professional career In 2007 he finished just outside the top 125 on the PGA Tour money list, and lost full playing rights for the 2008 season. He returned to the PGA Tour for 2009 through qualifying school. He has alternated between the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour since 2010. After Purdy's PGA Tour career stalled, he became a representative for a custom car company. WGC-Match Play
The WGC Match Play, currently titled as the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play for sponsorship reasons, is a professional men's golf tournament that has been held since 1999. It is the only one of the World Golf Championships to have been contested using the match play format. Since 2016, it has been held at the Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas, United States. Previous names include WGC-Dell Match Play (2015), WGC-Cadillac Match Play (2014), WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship (2001–2013), and WGC-Andersen Consulting Match Play Championship (1999–2000). Before moving to Austin it had been hosted in Arizona eight times, California eight times, and Australia once. The Players Championship
The Players Championship (commonly known as simply The Players, stylized by the PGA Tour as The PLAYERS Championship) is an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Originally known as the Tournament Players Championship, it began in 1974. The Players Championship at one point offered the highest purse of any tournament in golf ($20 million). The field usually includes the top 50 players in the world rankings, but unlike the major championships and World Golf Championships events, it is owned by the PGA Tour and not an official event on other tours. The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. It is one of the four men's major championships in professional golf. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. The Masters was started by amateur champion Bobby Jones and investment banker Clifford Roberts. David Vanegas (born 6 December 1986) is a Colombian professional golfer. Vanegas was born in Medellín. He attended Johnson & Wales University in Florida, United States before turning professional in 2008 and joining the Tour de las Américas. The 2013 PGA Tour Latinoamérica, titled as the 2013 NEC Series-PGA Tour Latinoamérica for sponsorship reasons, was the second season of PGA Tour Latinoamérica, the main professional golf tour in Latin America, operated and run by the PGA Tour. Changes for 2013 The 2013 season was the first full season on the tour with the 2012 season having only operated for four months in 2012. The 2013 schedule was divided into two distinct swings, the first with events played from March through May, followed by the remainder of events in the October through December. Chris Tidland
Christopher Lee Tidland (born September 28, 1972) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the Web.com Tour. Tidland was born in Torrance, California. He attended Oklahoma State University, and graduated in 1995 with a management degree. He led his team to the 1995 NCAA Division I Men's Championship and finished second in the individual tournament. Tidland turned professional after graduating. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 1996, 1999, 2002–06, and 2008-09 where he won two events - the 2008 Albertsons Boise Open and the 2009 Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open. Tidland played on the PGA Tour in 2001 and 2007 with his best finish a T-6 at the 2007 AT&T Classic. He was unable to finish high enough on the money list to retain his Tour card either year.
