Tecos Fútbol Club (often referred to by its nickname "Tecos") is a Mexican professional football club associated with the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara AC. It plays its home games in the '' Estadio 3 de Marzo'' (March 3 Stadium, named for the day the university was founded in 1935). The 30,015-seat facility is located in Zapopan, a municipality within the Guadalajara, Jalisco conurbation. Previously named Club de Fútbol Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, Estudiantes have won the national championship once and is the only team in Mexican football history to ascend from the two lower divisions and get the Championship (the other team that ascended from lower divisions was Oaxtepec, through it descended later). Juan Carlos Leaño
Juan Carlos Leaño Del Castillo (born 22 November 1977) is a Mexican former professional football defender who played his whole career with Tecos. Leaño made his professional debut with Estudiantes in 1998. He is also the son of José Antonio Leaño, chairman of the club. Jorge Hernández González (born 22 February 1988) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Hernández was signed along with fellow Mexican U-17 national Efraín Juárez by Barcelona in 2006 after impressing the Spanish giants during the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship. The Serie A has 33 teams (1 Liga MX Reserve Team, 3 Liga de Expansión MX Reserve Teams and 29 Serie A Teams) divided into two groups. For the 2022–23 season, it will be a return of two short tournaments consisting of 10 total matches played home & away and the liguilla. Ascenso MX
Ascenso MX was the second tier of professional football in Mexico of the Mexican football league system. The champion of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top-flight tier). The bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (the third tier). It was sponsored by BBVA through its Mexican subsidiary BBVA, and was officially known as Ascenso BBVA MX. Zapopan, Jalisco
Zapopan () is a city and municipality located in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Part of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, the population of Zapopan city proper makes it the second largest city in the state, very close behind the population of Guadalajara proper.
