Tear Out The Heart is a five-piece metalcore band from St. Louis, Missouri, founded in 2011. The band signed with Victory Records in 2012. and released their first full-length record, ''Violence'', in 2013. They released their second full-length album, '' Dead, Everywhere'', on January 27, 2015. History Tear Out The Heart self-released their first EP ''Tear Out The Heart'' in 2011, and their second EP ''Hell Is Empty'' in July 2012, just a month before announcing they had signed to Victory Records. Their debut album ''Violence'' was released on Victory Records in March 2013 and was received with predominantly positive reviews. ''Violence'' featured guest vocals from Caleb Shomo from Attack Attack! on the track "Undead Anthem", and Dan Marsala of Story Of The Year on the track "Coffin Eyes". Story of the Year is an American rock band formed in St. Louis, Missouri, Story of the Year at Allmusic.comAccessed May 17, 2007. in 1995 under the name 67 North. The band eventually changed their name to Big Blue Monkey in 1998, and then subsequently changed it again to Story of the Year in 2002, after the release of their EP titled ''Story of the Year'' on the indie label Criterion Records. At the time, they claimed they discovered that a blues group named Big Blue Monkey had already existed. Later, on their podcast "Page Avenue Crew", they clarified that they just didn't care for the name and made up the excuse of another band having the same name. The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming.
