Teal Fowler
Teal Fowler (born December 11, 1970, in Batavia, New York, USA) is a former ice hockey player. Career After playing college hockey for the Merrimack College, he went to Germany and played for minor league teams in Dortmund, Königborn and Iserlohn before being promoted with the Iserlohn team to the German elite league DEL in 2000. Coaching career After retiring as player he was assistant coach with the Iserlohn team. In the 2005–06 season he was head-coach with the DEL team Krefeld Pinguine before joining the Adler Mannheim organization in 2006. He first was assistant coach to Greg Pose and took part in the championship win in 2007. Fowler later assisted Dave King (from December 2007 on) and became head coach after Dave King was released of his duties on February 28, 2009. In spring 2009, he also joined the coaching staff of the German national team as video coach. In January 2010, he returned to Adler Mannheim for a second spell as head coach. He replaced Doug Mason. Forward (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a forward is a player, and a position on the ice, whose primary responsibility is to score and assist goals. Generally, the forwards try to stay in three different lanes of the ice going from goal to goal. It is not mandatory, however, to stay in a lane. Staying in a lane aids in forming the common offensive strategy known as a triangle. One forward obtains the puck and then the forwards pass it between themselves making the goalie move side to side. This strategy opens up the net for scoring opportunities. This strategy allows for a constant flow of the play, attempting to maintain the control of play by one team in the offensive zone. The forwards can pass to the defence players playing at the blue line, thus freeing up the play and allowing either a shot from the point (blue line position where the defence stands) or a pass back to the offence. Sean Simpson
Sean Simpson (born May 4, 1960) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey player. He last served as head coach of Adler Mannheim in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) in Germany. As a player, Simpson played two AHL seasons before embarking upon a career playing in Europe. Playing career Simpson played major junior briefly for the Kingston Canadians and then for four seasons with the Ottawa 67's. During his time with Ottawa 67's (1977-1981), Sean Simpson had 141 goals and 238 assists in 226 games played. Simpson is 6th on the All-Time Regular Player stats for the Ottawa 67's. In 1979-1980, Simpson also represented Canada in the World Junior Championships U-20 tournament Drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 7th round in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft, he played a season with the New Brunswick Hawks. Colin Muller
Colin Muller (born December 1, 1963) is a Canadian-born Swiss professional ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey player. He is currently serving as the head coach of the Swiss women's national team. Playing career Muller spent most of his playing career at EV Zug. In 1986–87, his first year at EVZ, he contributed to the team earning promotion to the Swiss top-flight National League A (NLA). Muller would win the Swiss championship with Zug in 1998 and moved to HC Fribourg-Gottéron in 1999 before calling it a career in 2000. He played a total of 544 NLA contests, scoring 203 goals. Coaching career Muller formed a coaching duo with Hans Kossmann at HC Fribourg-Gottéron at the beginning of his career behind the bench. Batavia is a town in Genesee County, New York, United States. The population was 6,809 at the 2010 census. The name is derived from the Roman name for part of the Netherlands. Germany Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The German men's national ice hockey team is the national ice hockey team of Germany and is controlled by the German Ice Hockey Federation. It first participated in serious international competition at the 1911 European Hockey Championship.
