Taylor Dent
Taylor Phillip Dent (born April 24, 1981) is a retired professional tennis player from the United States. He reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 21, winning 4 singles titles. Career Early career and back injury Dent won ATP titles in Newport (2002), Bangkok (2003), Memphis (2003), and Moscow (2003), and reached the finals of three other events on tour. His victory in Memphis is still often referred to as his most impressive victory, as he beat future World No. 1 Andy Roddick in the final. Dent played with distinction at the 2004 Summer Olympics, where he made a push all the way to the semi-finals, where he was defeated by eventual gold medalist Nicolás Massú of Chile. Keller is a city in Tarrant County, Texas, in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Lleyton Hewitt and Max Mirnyi defeated Ellis Ferreira and Rick Leach in the final, 6–4, 5–7, 7–6 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2000 US Open. It was their maiden major title. Alex O'Brien and Sébastien Lareau were the defending champions but chose not to participate with each other. Sébastien partnered with Daniel Nestor, while Alex partnered with Jared Palmer. Both new pairings lost to Hewitt and Mirnyi, in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively. This marked the last major appearance of former world No. 1 and 17-time major champion Mark Woodforde, and thus the last major appearance of the Woodies; they were defeated in the second round by Hewitt and Mirnyi. Cecil Valdeavilla Mamiit (born June 27, 1976) is a former tennis player from the United States who went on to represent the Philippines. He began his professional career in 1996 and reached his highest individual ranking in the ATP Tour on October 11, 1999 as World No. 72. The 2006 Hopman Cup (also known as the Hyundai Hopman Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 18th Hopman Cup tournament. The champions were Lisa Raymond and Taylor Dent of the United States. The Netherlands qualified and reached the final. Michaëlla Krajicek won her singles match, and Taylor Dent beat Peter Wessels. The mixed doubles competition was won in close sets by Raymond and Dent. Nicolás Alejandro Massú Fried (; born 10 October 1979), nicknamed ''El Vampiro'' (Spanish, 'the vampire'), is a Chilean former professional tennis player.
