Taylor's Mill Historic District
Taylor's Mill Historic District, a historic district featuring the gristmill Taylor's Mill, is located along Taylor's Mill Road and Rockaway Road near Oldwick in Readington Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 11, 1992 for its significance in architecture, exploration/settlement, industry, and military. With The district boundary was increased by in 1997 to cross the Rockaway Creek and extend into Tewksbury Township. With History Colonel John Taylor (1744–1811) built this grist and flouring mill on the Rockaway Creek. It supplied grain for the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. The mill had many subsequent owners, including Eleanor and Manning McCrea. Oldwick is an unincorporated community located within Tewksbury Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08858. As of the 2000 United States Census, the population for ZIP Code Tabulation Area 08858 was 177. The 2010 census data indicate a population of 144, comprising 68 housing units. Oldwick was formerly known as New Germantown. It has a mixture of Victorian, Federal, New England and Georgian style homes, and is protected by historic legislation. Historic sites within Oldwick include the Kline Farmhouse and the Oldwick Historic District. Zion Lutheran Church in Oldwick was the oldest Lutheran parish in New Jersey. Continental Army

The Historical Marker Database
The Historical Marker Database (HMdb.org) is an online database that documents locations of numerous historical markers in the United States as well as other countries. The database was launched in 2006 by computer programmer J. J. Prats. The HMdb served as the basis for the database for the online augmented reality game Ingress, which was then later repurposed for Pokémon Go. The HMdb was launched in 2006 with 179 markers that Prats had personally documented. By 2015 the site listed more than 74,000 markers.
