Tayfun Gönül (1958, İzmit - 30 July 2012, Istanbul) was a Turkish writer, doctor, the first conscientious objector in Turkey and a self-described anarchist. Biography Gönül's childhood years were spent in Izmir and Istanbul. İzmit
İzmit () is a district and the central district of Kocaeli province, Turkey. It is located at the Gulf of İzmit in the Sea of Marmara, about east of Istanbul, on the northwestern part of Anatolia. As of the last 31/12/2019 estimation, the city center had a population of 367,990. Anarchism is a political philosophy and movement that is skeptical of all justifications for authority and seeks to abolish the institutions it claims maintain unnecessary coercion and hierarchy, typically including, though not necessarily limited to, governments, nation states, and capitalism. Conscription (also called the draft in the United States) is the state-mandated enlistment of people in a national service, mainly a military service. Conscription dates back to antiquity and it continues in some countries to the present day under various names. ''Güneş'' ("Sun" in Turkish) is a daily newspaper in Turkey. It was owned by Ethem Sancak's Star Media Group. History ''Güneş'' was founded in 1982 by Ömer Çavuşoğlu and Ahmet Kozanoğlu. It was later bought by Asil Nadir. ''Güneş'' was owned by the Çukurova Media Group (who acquired it from Güneri Cıvaoğlu) from 1996 to 2013. Myocardial Infarction
A myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to the coronary artery of the heart, causing damage to the heart muscle. The most common symptom is chest pain or discomfort which may travel into the shoulder, arm, back, neck or jaw. Often it occurs in the center or left side of the chest and lasts for more than a few minutes. The discomfort may occasionally feel like heartburn. Other symptoms may include shortness of breath, nausea, feeling faint, a cold sweat or feeling tired. About 30% of people have atypical symptoms. Women more often present without chest pain and instead have neck pain, arm pain or feel tired. Among those over 75 years old, about 5% have had an MI with little or no history of symptoms.
