Taxpayers League Of Minnesota
The Taxpayers League of Minnesota is a conservative lobbying group dedicated to lowering taxes in Minnesota. Ted Lillie serves as the group's president. Prior to that, Darrell McKigney, Linda Runbeck, David Strom, and Phil Krinkie have served as Presidents of the Taxpayers League. The Taxpayers League was founded in 1997 by Mike Wigley. It is primarily funded through large donations by individuals and corporation, providing weekly email updates and maintaining contact with legislators. Its representatives have made appearances on ''At Issue'' and ''Almanac''. The Taxpayers League has offered up a "Friend of the Taxpayers" award to legislators. Previous winners of the award include Gil Gutknecht and Bruce Anderson. Lobbying Group

Ted Lillie
Theodore H. "Ted" Lillie (born December 30, 1956) is an American politician and a former member of the Minnesota Senate who represented District 56, which included portions of Washington County in the eastern Twin Cities metropolitan area. A Republican, he and his cousin are the co-publishers of Lillie Suburban Newspapers. Lillie was first elected in 2010. He was one of four assistant majority leaders, and was a member of the Jobs and Economic Growth, the State Government Innovation and Veterans, and the Transportation committees. The 2012 legislative redistricting changed Lillie's Senate District from 56 to 53. He lost his bid for reelection in 2012 to DFLer Susan Kent. Linda Runbeck
Linda Runbeck (born June 11, 1946) is an American politician who served as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1989 to 1993 and again from 2011 to 2021. She was also a member of the Minnesota Senate from 1993 to 2001. Early life, education, and career Runbeck earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and social work from Bethel University Arden Hills, Minnesota. David Strom
David M. Strom (born 1964) is a Conservative in Minnesota. Personal Strom graduated from Carleton College (1987) in Northfield, Minnesota, with a degree in political science and he holds a master's degree in political science from Duke University (1992). He has taught political philosophy at Duke University, North Carolina State University, Carleton College, and the University of St. Thomas. Phil Krinkie
Philip B. Krinkie (born February 3, 1950) is an American politician from the state of Minnesota. He is a former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, from 1991 to 2006, and was a candidate for in the United States House of Representatives in 2014 when it was vacated by Michele Bachmann. Krinkie is from Shoreview, Minnesota. He owns a heating and air-conditioning business and is a member of the board of trustees for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. Almanac (American TV Series)
''Almanac'' is a weekly public affairs television program produced by Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and distributed to other channels around the state via the Minnesota Public Television Association. It has aired weekly on Friday nights since December 7, 1984. Format A 90-second monologue, typically by a local humorist, was originally presented near the beginning of each edition of the show. It now occurs in the middle of the program. Some monologists who have made many appearances include Dr. Mark DePaolis, James Lileks, Jim Ragsdale, Dominic Papatola, Roy Finden, Kevyn Berger, Carol Falkowski, and J.G. Gilbert William Gutknecht Jr. (born March 20, 1951) is an American politician. Gutknecht was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives first elected in 1994 to represent Minnesota's 1st congressional district. Gutknecht lost his 2006 reelection bid to DFL candidate Tim Walz, and his term ended in January 2007. Background Gutknecht was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Bruce Douglas Anderson (born March 12, 1950) is an American politician and member of the Minnesota Senate. A member of the Republican Party of Minnesota, he represents District 29, which includes portions of Hennepin and Wright Counties in central Minnesota. A Republican, Gazelka was a member of the Minnesota Senate and was previously a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives.
