Tatev Municipality, referred to as Tatev Community ( hy, Տաթև Համայնք ''Tatev Hamaynk''), is a rural community and administrative subdivision of Syunik Province of Armenia, at the south of the country. Municipalities Of Armenia
A municipality in Armenia referred to as community ( hy, համայնք ''hamaynk'', plural: hy, համայնքներ ''hamaynkner''), is an administrative subdivision consisting of a settlement ( hy, բնակավայր ''bnakavayr'') or a group of settlements ( hy, բնակավայրեր ''bnakavayrer'') that enjoys local self-government. The settlements are classified as either towns ( hy, քաղաքներ ''kaghakner'', singular hy, քաղաք ''kaghak'') or villages ( hy, գյուղեր ''gyugher'', singular ( hy, գյուղ ''gyugh''). The administrative centre of a community could either be an urban settlement (town) or a rural settlement (village). Two-thirds of the population are now urbanized. As of 2017, 63.6% of Armenians live in urban areas as compared to 36.4% in rural. FIPS 10-4
The FIPS 10-4 standard, ''Countries, Dependencies, Areas of Special Sovereignty, and Their Principal Administrative Divisions'', was a list of two-letter country codes that were used by the U.S. Government for geographical data processing in many publications, such as the ''CIA World Factbook''. Svarants
Svarants ( hy, Սվարանց) is a village in the Tatev Municipality of the Syunik Province in Armenia. Geography The village is located in the upper reaches of the Tatev River, in the valley, on the northern slopes of Aramazd Mountain, at an altitude of 1750-1800 m above sea level.  The distance from Kapan, the regional center of Syunik province, is about 51 km. The administrative area of the village occupies 1621.20 ha, of which agricultural lands are 1562.95 ha. According to the operational purpose, the agricultural lands consist of: arable land 191.24ha, grasslands 42.16ha, pastures 799.38ha and other land types 527ha. Harzhis ( hy, Հարժիս) is a village in the Tatev Municipality of the Syunik Province in Armenia, 15 km southwest of Goris, on the left side of the Vorotan River, on the plateau.
