Tanoshimi
Tanoshimi was the United Kingdom arm of US publisher Random House and was responsible for the publication of their English Language, English-language manga titles. Its relationship with Random House was the same as Del Rey Manga, Del Rey, which released the same Manga titles for its parent company in the United States. The company came into existence in June 2006, and has since released ten new Manga titles and over 50 books into the UK market. Since 2009 Tanoshimi no longer licenses manga volumes for distribution in the United Kingdom. To continue to follow manga volumes previously released by Tanoshimi, imports could be made from Del Rey in the United States. With the closure of Del Rey, ongoing titles (such as Negima) are now being published by Kodansha USA under the Kodansha Comics imprint. Free Collars Kingdom
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Fujima Takuya. The individual chapters were serialized in ''Magazine Z'', and compiled into three ''tankōbon'' volumes released by Kodansha from February 2003 to March 2004. Set in Ikebukuro, Japan, the series revolves around the struggle of two Feral, stray cat groups. Cyan, a young newly abandoned cat, joins one of them, the Free Collars. Each cat has two appearances; to humans, they appear as normal cats, but to other cats, they appear as Catgirl (anime and manga), catboys and catgirls. Each cat has their own attack, and some carry weapons. While drawing the series, Fujima changed his art style from one used previously, though he was asked to use his original styling. He also noted that the series was different from his other works, and was unsure of how the audience would respond to it. Othello (Satomi Ikezawa Manga)
is a ''shōjo'' manga series by Satomi Ikezawa. It was originally serialized by Kodansha in ''Bessatsu Friend'' and collected in seven ''tankōbon'' volumes. It is distributed by Del Rey Manga in North America. The story is about a shy, naive Japanese teenager with a split personality. The manga is titled after the board game Othello, and not the Shakespearian play. The game involves a lot of switching back and forth between black and white pieces, representing Yaya and Nana's constant flip-flop. Plot Yaya is a shy, quiet teen with a passion for singing, Japanese rock music, Gothic Lolita, cosplay and music in general. is a Japanese manga series by Satomi Ikezawa about a Labrador puppy, named Ponta, who turns into a human and falls in love with Mirai Iwaki, who's very popular in his school. In 2000, it won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōjo. It was published in the United States by Del Rey Manga. Plot Ponta, the Koizumi family's labrador retriever puppy one day eats the 'talking bone' that the grandfather invented to allow an animal who licks it the power of speech. Instead of just being able to talk however, she transforms into a human girl. When she rushes out into traffic as a girl, she is saved by the most popular boy at school and falls in love with him. Ghost Hunt (novel Series)
, originally titled , is a light novel series written by Fuyumi Ono. It follows the adventures of Shibuya Psychic Research as they investigate mysterious occurrences all over Japan with a team of other spiritualists and clever assistants. Although the last novel was published in 1994, the story was left incomplete. The novels were adapted into a radio drama for ''Akuryō Series'' in 1997. Del Rey Manga was the manga-publishing imprint of Del Rey Books, a branch of Ballantine Books, which in turn is part of Random House, the publishing division of Bertelsmann. History Del Rey Manga was formed as part of a cross-publishing relationship with Japanese publisher Kodansha.
