Tan Ya-ting
Tan Ya-ting (; born 7 November 1993) is an archer who represents Chinese Taipei. She is a three-time Olympian, having participated at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. She has additionally competed in the World Archery Championships and the Archery World Cup. Tan's first international medal came in the girls' individual event of the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, earning silver medal after losing to former FITA Archery World Cup champion Kwak Ye-Ji in the final. She finished ninth overall in the women's individual event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and won bronze medal in the women's team event four years later at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She was a member of the team that won Chinese Taipei's first recurve title at the 2019 World Archery Championships. Hsinchu
Hsinchu (, Chinese: 新竹, Pinyin: ''Xīnzhú'', Wade–Giles: ''Hsin¹-chu²'') is a city located in northwestern Taiwan. It is the most populous city in Taiwan Province not among the special municipalities, with estimated 450,655 inhabitants. Hsinchu is a coastal city bordering the Taiwan Strait to the west, Hsinchu County to the north and east, and Miaoli County to the south. Nicknamed the ''Windy City'' for its strong northeastern monsoon during the autumn and winter seasons. FITA Archery World Cup
The Archery World Cup is a competition, started in 2006, organized by the World Archery Federation, where the archers compete in four stages in four countries and the best eight archers of each category (from 2010, four archers during 2006-09) advance to an additional stage to contest the Archery World Cup Final. This form of competition was introduced following the success of the 2003 World Archery Championships in New York and the 2004 Summer Olympics with the intent of making the sport more popular and attractive to spectators, with the matches being held in 'spectacular' locations and the final matches being broadcast online.
