Tamuwan or Tamuwan Autonomous Republic is a proposed Tamu people, Tamu ethnic state within multicultural Nepal, which has had many ethnic groups striving for autonomy. Tharuhat
Tharuwan is also the homeland of Tharu people in Terai region of Nepal. It comprises the 11 southwestern Terai districts of Nepal. Tharuhat was proposed Tharu ethnic state by the Tharuhat Tarai Party Nepal. Deadly clashes have broken out between Tharu protestors with government forces repeatedly over demands. Tamu People
Gurung (exonym; ) or Tamu (endonym; Gurung: ) are an ethnic group indigenous to the hills and mountains of Gandaki Province of Nepal. Gurung people predominantly live around the Annapurna region in Manang, Mustang, Dolpo, Kaski, Lamjung, Gorkha, Parbat and Syangja districts of Nepal. They are one of the main Gurkha tribes. They are also scattered across India in Sikkim, Assam, Delhi, West Bengal ( Darjeeling area) and other regions with a predominant Nepali diaspora population. They speak the Sino-Tibetan Gurung language and practice Bon religion alongside Tibetan Buddhism and Hinduism. Mongol National Organisation
The Mongol National Organisation is a political party in Nepal. In contrast to different '' Mulbaasi'' movements, MNO emphasizes racial identity rather than ethnicity. MNO rejects the term 'janajati'. The party was denied registration in 1990. Albeit unregistered, the party launched independent candidates in the 1991, 1994 and 1999 parliamentary elections in Ilam and Jhapa Districts. None were elected. The party was registered with the Election Commission of Nepal ahead of the 2008 Constituent Assembly election. In the 2008 CA polls, the party got 11,578 votes (0.11%) in the proportional representation vote. Limbuwan is an area of the Himalayan region historically made up of 10 Limbu people, Limbu kingdoms, now part of eastern Nepal. Limbuwan means "abode of the Limbus" or "Land of the Limbus". Madhesh Province ( Nepali language, Nepali/ mai, मधेश प्रदेश) is a Provinces of Nepal, province of Nepal that was formed after the adoption of the Constitution of Nepal. The history of Nepal is intertwined with the history of the broader Indian subcontinent and the surrounding regions, comprising the areas of South Asia and East Asia. Nepal is a multi-ethnic, multiracial, multicultural, multi-religious, and multilingual country. The most spoken language is Nepali followed by several other ethnic languages.
