Tamsyn Lewis
Tamsyn Carolyn Lewis (born 20 July 1978) is an Australian media personality and former track and field athlete who won a total of eighteen Australian Championships across the 400 metres, 800 metres and 400m hurdles. She first represented Australia in 1994, and won the 800 metres in the 2008 World Indoor Championships. Personal life Lewis was born and raised in Melbourne, Victoria and attended Methodist Ladies' College and Caulfield Grammar School. Her mother Carolyn Wright was a six-time national high jump champion, while her father, Greg Lewis, was a semi-finalist in the 200 metres at the Summer 1968 Olympics. She married Australian cricketer Graham Manou in 2011. 800 Metres
The 800 metres, or meters ( US spelling), is a common track running event. It is the shortest commonly run middle-distance running event. The 800 metres is run over two laps of an outdoor (400-metre) track and has been an Olympic event since the first modern games in 1896. During the winter track season the event is usually run by completing four laps of an indoor 200-metre track. The event was derived from the imperial measurement of a half mile (880 yards), a traditional English racing distance. 800m is 4.67m less than a half mile. The event combines aerobic endurance with anaerobic conditioning and sprint speed, so the 800m athlete has to combine training for both. Runners in this event are occasionally fast enough to also compete in the 400 metres but more commonly have enough endurance to 'double up' in the 1500m. Graham Manou
Graham Allan Manou (born 23 April 1979) is a former Australian cricketer who played for South Australia and the Melbourne Renegades in Australian domestic cricket, as well as one Test match and several One Day Internationals for the Australian national cricket team. He is a wicket-keeper and aggressive right-handed batsman who has taken more dismissals than any other South Australian player in One Day domestic cricket. Manou announced his retirement from First Class cricket in March 2011. In May 2022, he was appointed as the general manager of cricket performance of the Victoria cricket team. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. 200 Metres
The 200 metres, or 200-meter dash, is a sprint running event. On an outdoor 400 metre racetrack, the race begins on the curve and ends on the home straight, so a combination of techniques is needed to successfully run the race. A slightly shorter race, called the '' stadion'' and run on a straight track, was the first recorded event at the ancient Olympic Games. Gregory Lewis (born 9 December 1946 in Victoria) is a former Australian Olympic athlete who competed in the 100 metres and 200 metres. Achievements Lewis won six Australian Championships during his career and represented Australia at the 1968 Olympic Games and two Commonwealth Games. High Jump
The high jump is a track and field event in which competitors must jump unaided over a horizontal bar placed at measured heights without dislodging it. Carolyn Wright
Carolyn Jean Lewis (née Wright; born 16 January 1946) is an Australian former athlete who competed in the high jump. She competed for the Novacastrians club in Newcastle and the Ryde Athletics Club in Sydney. Upon marriage she moved to Melbourne where she competed for the Coburg Athletics Club alongside athletes such as Raelene Boyle and Jean Roberts. At the age of 16, Wright was selected to compete in the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth where she placed sixth.
