Tammi (company)
Tammi, also known as Kustannusyhtiö Tammi and Tammi Publishers, is a Finnish publishing company established in 1943 by an initiative of Väinö Tanner, leader of the Social Democratic Party of Finland. In 1996, the company was bought by the Bonnier Group, and, as of the early 2000s, it was the third largest book publisher in Finland. In 2018, the company was merged into the Finnish book publishing company Werner Söderström Osakeyhtiö (WSOY). Tammi was formerly known as Kustannusosakeyhtiö Tammi. Its series ''Keltainen kirjasto'' (Yellow library), published since 1954, specialises in "quality literature", including books by many recipients of the Nobel Prize in Literature. Controversy over Yrjö Leino memoirs Yrjö Leino, a Communist activist, was Finland's Minister of the Interior in the crucial 1945–48 period. Tammi Øst
Tammi Øst (born 1 October 1958) is a Danish actress. Øst was born in Copenhagen, and was trained at the Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance in 1982. In 1988 she played the leading role of Katinka in Max von Sydow's film of the same name. From 1990–1997 she worked at the Royal Theatre and received the Dannebrog in 1996. In 1999 she received the Reumert prize for Best leading actress. In 2012 she portrayed Birgit Eggert in the TV series '' Forbrydelsen III''. Øst was married to actor Mikael Birkkjær, and has two children. Her daughter, Andrea Øst Birkkjær, is an actress. She is now married to Jens Jørn Spottag. Tammi Reiss (born April 2, 1970) is an American actress and former professional basketball player. She is currently the coach for the University of Rhode Island. Reiss is a native of New York state. Reiss graduated from the University of Virginia in 1992 with a major in sports management. As a professional, she was chosen in the first round of the first-ever WNBA draft, and she played for two years with the Utah Starzz. Biography Reiss was born in New York, and she attended Eldred Central School, a high-school in the area. Reiss began playing in her high-school's team as an eighth-grader. She led Eldred Central to a state championship in 1988, and finished her high school basketball career with 2,871 points scored. Tammi Terrell (born Thomasina Winifred Montgomery; April 29, 1945 – March 16, 1970) was an American singer-songwriter, widely known as a star singer for Motown Records during the 1960s, notably for a series of duets with singer Marvin Gaye. Terrell's career began as a teenager, first recording for Scepter/Wand Records, before spending nearly nine months as a member of James Brown's Revue, recording for Brown's Try Me label. After a period attending college, Terrell recorded briefly for Checker Records, before signing with Motown in 1965.
