Taiyuan Railway Station (Taiwan)
Taiyuan () is an elevated railway station on the TRA Taichung line located in Beitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. Taiyuan Station was rebuilt with an elevated platform in 2016. Platform Layout Service The TRA once operated a restaurant on the second floor at old Taiyuan Station, while Giant Bicycles also operated a store. Both are closed already prior to replaced by the elevated station. Beitun District
Beitun District (; lit: northern camp) is a district in Taichung, Taiwan. Located in the northern part of the city, it is a half mountainous, half urban area. Though Beitun District used to be considered part of the countryside, the new Taiyuan Station has urbanized it considerably. The highest point of Taichung City is located in Beitun, Douliu Hill (859 m). Fengyuan Station
Fengyuan () is a railway station in Taichung, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways. It was formerly a terminus for the now-defunct TRA Dongshi line and a current terminus for local trains that specifically travel via Taichung railway station,Xinwuri railway station, Taichung Port railway station and Zhunan railway station connecting Taichung line and Coast Line. Overview The 1960 station opened with two island platforms. In 2016 it was converted to one side platform, one island platform, and a remaining unused platform. As part of the Taichung Elevated Railway Project, the station is replaced with an elevated station with two island platforms. Yide Mansion
The Yide Mansion () is a former residence in Beitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. History In 1925, Lin Mao-yang moved to the current plot of land in which the mansion stands. In 1930, he constructed the mansion during his career peak. In 1950, the mansion was sold to the Joint Logistics Headquarters. The company then used the mansion as the residence for high rank officers in 1954. In 2007, the mansion was declared historical building by Taichung City Government. Since then, the mansion underwent renovation work with a cost of NT$45 million. Green landscaping works were done since 2 October 2013 until 28 January 2014. The renovation work was completed in April 2015. Taichung Military Kindred Village Museum
The Taichung Military Kindred Village Museum () is a museum in Beitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. History The museum building was originally part of the Beitun New Village, which was one of 134 military kindred villages in the city accommodating officers from the Republic of China Air Force rank major and above, including their families. Since the 2000s, there had been more and more families moving out from the area. The village was then renovated to preserve some of the iconic landmarks. One of the house was then turned into the Taichung Military Kindred Village Museum. The construction of the museum was completed in mid November 2014. Since August 2017, the museum has been run by Yuguo Cultural and Creative Company. Architecture The museum space spans over an area of 660 m2. Transportation The museum is accessible within walking distance southwest of Taiyuan Station of Taiwan Railways. Tainan Station
Tainan () is a railway station in Tainan, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways Administration. Situated in centre of the old town square of Tainan, Tainan Station is the main station of the city and also one of the major stations along the western trunk line in Taiwan. The Shalun line, opened in 2011, allows through services to link the station with THSR Tainan Station. Overview The station has one island platform and one side platform. The current station structure opened on 15 March 1936, which included a hotel on the second floor (the only station of its kind in Taiwan). Taichung TRA Station
Taichung station () is a railway station in Taichung, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways Administration. It is served by all TRA services along the route. History The station was originally constructed in 1905 in a wooden building architectural style and started its operation in 1908. In 1917, it was rebuilt as a red brick structure with Renaissance architectural style. On 16 October 2016, the elevated station was inaugurated in which the ground-level station was shut down. The first train that arrived at the elevated station was at 06:28.
