Taichung World Flora Exposition
The Taichung World Flora Exposition is an AIPH (category A2, B1)A horticultural exhibition with international participation lasting between 3 and 6 months and at least 25 Hectares in size horticultural exposition held between 3 November 2018 and 24 April 2019 in Houli District, Taiwan. There were 33 participating countries. Theme and locations The festival had three themes and three locations. Green held at Waipu Park Area, Nature at Houli Horse Ranch and People at Fengyuan's Ruanpizai Creek. After the expo the Waipu park Area will be transformed into an international agriculture centre, and will host the 2020 World Orchid Conference. Taichung
Taichung (, Wade–Giles: ''Tʻai²-chung¹'', pinyin: ''Táizhōng''), officially Taichung City, is a special municipality located in central Taiwan. Taichung has approximately 2.8 million residents and is the second most populous city of Taiwan, as well as the most populous city in Central Taiwan. Fengyuan
Fengyuan District () is a district located in north-central Taichung, Taiwan on the south bank of the Dajia River. Fengyuan district is the third most populated district among former Taichung County, ranking after Dali and Taiping district. Fengyuan was recognized as Huludun in early times, meaning "gourd" in Chinese, for a gourd-shape pile of mud that was found in Fengyuan by the aborigines. The rice produced in Fengyuan is famous for its high quality and the bakery industry prospered in later decades. Houli District
Houli District () is a rural district in northwestern Taichung City, Taiwan. History After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, Houli was organized as a rural township of Taichung County named Neipu Township. On 1 October 1955, Neipu Township was renamed as Houli Township. On 25 December 2010, Taichung County was merged with Taichung City and Houli was upgraded to a district of the city. Waipu District () is a rural district in Taichung City, Taiwan. It has a population total of 31,868 and an area of 42.4099 square kilometres. AIPH
The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH / IAHP) is a trade association dedicated to promoting horticultural producers and held the international garden / flora festivals or expositions. Leopard Cat
The leopard cat (''Prionailurus bengalensis'') is a small wild cat native to continental South, Southeast, and East Asia. Since 2002 it has been listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List as it is widely distributed although threatened by habitat loss and hunting in parts of its range.
