Taghi Taghiyev
Tağı Tağıyev ( az, Tağı Əzizağa oğlu Tağıyev; 7 November 1917 – 27 June 1993) was a painter and People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR. Biography Taghi Taghiyev was born on November 11, 1917 in Baku. He studied at Technical School of Art in Baku in 1931-1935. Later he studied at Surikov Moscow Art Institute in 1940-1941. He is the author of thematic picture, still life, portraits, landscapes and home scenes. Taghiyev is more famous as a portrait master. He is also known as one of the creators of realist painting in Azerbaijan. Main themes in his works is the history and historical personalities, laborers, and the nature. Taghi Taghiyev had been in many countries as Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, France and created many paintings about their life. His first exhibition in Baku hold in 1962. National Art Museum Of Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan National Museum of Art ( az, Azərbaycan Milli İncəsənət Muzeyi) is the biggest art museum of Azerbaijan. It was founded in 1936 in Baku and in 1943 was named after Rustam Mustafayev, a prominent Azerbaijani scenic designer and theater artist. The museum consists of two 19th century buildings standing next to each other. The museum's total collection includes over 15,000 artworks. There are over 3,000 items in 60 rooms on permanent display. About 12,000 items are kept in storage. State Museum Of Oriental Art
The State Museum of Oriental Art (russian: Музей Востока) is one of the biggest cultural institutions in the world for preservation, research, and display of Oriental art. The museum was founded in 1918 as a part of soviet programme to support unique cultures of USSR subdivisions. Since 1970 the museum is located in the centre of Moscow in the historical building known as the Lunins' House, a private residence built in the early 19th century by the famous architect Domenico Gilardi. Maral Rahmanzadeh
Maral Yusif gizi Rahmanzade ( az, Maral Yusif qızı Rəhmanzadə; 1916–2008) also known as Maral Rahmanzade, was a Soviet, Azerbaijani graphic artist and visual artist. She was awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of Azerbaijan (1964), and recipient of the State Prize. Biography Maral Rahmanzade was born on July 23, 1916, in the Mardakan township near Baku, Russian Empire (now Azerbaijan). Bahruz Shirali bey oglu Kangarli ( az, Bəhruz Şirəlibəy oğlu Kəngərli; 22 January 1892, Nakhchivan – 7 February 1922, Nakhchivan) was an Azerbaijani painter and graphic artist. He was one of the first professional representatives of Azerbaijani visual arts and was the founder of realistic easel painting of Azerbaijan. Sattar Bahlulzade ( az, Səttar Bəhlulzadə; 15 December 1909 – 14 October 1974) was an Azerbaijani painter, best known for his landscape paintings depicting the nature of Azerbaijan. He is considered to be the founder of Azerbaijani Impressionism.
