Tacuary
Tacuary Football Club is a Paraguayan First Division football team, based in the neighborhood of Jara, Asunción. The club was founded in 1923. Tacuary qualified for the Copa Libertadores tournament twice (in 2005 and 2007) and the Copa Sudamericana twice (in 2007 and 2012). In 2013 it returned to the Paraguayan Segunda División. In the 2021 season of Paraguay's División Intermedia, Tacuary finished in 3rd and was promoted to the Primera División. Over the years Tacuary's youth academy has produced players such as Ramón Cardozo, Hernán Pérez, Luis Páez, Ronald Huth and Brian Montenegro, as well as other young players that have been sold to important club in the European and Mexican leagues. Stadium The club has traditionally played at the 3,000 capacity Toribio Vargas which is based in Jara neighbourhood. Ronald Huth
Ronald Renato Huth Candia (born 30 October 1989 in Paraguay) is a Paraguayan football defender of Italian descent, who plays for Rubio Ñu in the Paraguayan División Intermedia. Huth holds Italian citizenship. Career Early career At the age of 11, Huth joined Tacuary. In 2004, Huth was in Tacuary's under-14 squad, coached by Ruben Ayala. In 2005, Huth appeared for Tacuary's U20 squad. In October 2005, Huth played again for Tacuary's under-20 team, which was coached by Julian Ferreira. Whilst in Tacuary's reserve squad, Huth was also a substitute for the first-team. In 2006, Huth again played for Tacuary's under-20 team, being coached by Vicente Quinto. 2021 Paraguayan División Intermedia
The 2021 División Intermedia season, named ''"Cincuentenario del Club Atlético 3 de Febrero y Homenaje al Lic. Miguel Ángel Cañete Alderete"'', was the 103rd season of the second-tier league of Paraguayan football and 24th under the Paraguayan División Intermedia name. The season began on 9 April and ended on 26 October 2021. The fixtures for the season were announced on 15 January 2021. The competition returned after a one-year hiatus as the 2020 seasons of the lower-tier club tournaments of Paraguayan football were cancelled by the Paraguayan Football Association due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Humberto Ovelar
Humberto Jesús Ovelar Rojas (born 24 December 1969) is a Paraguayan football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current manager of General Caballero JLM. Playing career Ovelar was born in Juan León Mallorquín, and made his senior debut with Cerro Porteño in 1987, aged 18. He subsequently represented River Plate Asunción and Tembetary before returning to Cerro in 1996, but moved abroad in 1997 with Colombian side Deportivo Pereira. In 1998, after a short period back at Cerro, Ovelar retired at the age of just 28. Coaching career Immediately after retiring, Ovelar remained at his last club Cerro Porteño as an assistant manager. Brian Guillermo Montenegro Martínez (born 10 June 1993) is a Paraguayan footballer who plays as a winger or a striker for Primera División club Olimpia. He is a former Paraguay U20 international. Nery Bareiro (born 3 March 1988) is a Paraguayan footballer who plays as a centre back for Confiança. In 2006, he won the Milk Cup with Paraguay's under-20 team. José Carlos Pinto Samayoa (born 16 June 1993) is a Guatemalan professional footballer who plays as a defender for Liga Nacional club Comunicaciones and the Guatemala national team. Hernán Arsenio Pérez González (born 25 February 1989) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays for the Paraguay national team as a right winger. Club career Early years Pérez was born in Fernando de la Mora, Asunción. Ramón Idalecio Cardozo (born 23 April 1986) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a forward. Club career Born in Villarrica, Guairá Department, Cardozo played most of his professional career with Tacuary. In January 2007 he was loaned to F.C. The 2012 Copa Sudamericana de Clubes (officially the 2012 Copa Bridgestone Sudamericana de Clubes for sponsorship reasons) was the 11th edition of the Copa Sudamericana, South America's secondary international club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. 2007 Copa Sudamericana
The 2007 edition of the Copa Sudamericana was played by 34 teams; 30 teams from the CONMEBOL and 4 teams from the CONCACAF.
