Tabuan Island
Tabuan Island ( id, Pulau Tabuan, also spelled Tabuhan or Taboean) is an island of southern Sumatra, under the jurisdiction of Lampung province. It is administered as part of the Cukuh Balak district of Tanggamus Regency. It lies near the middle of the entrance of Semangka Bay, relatively steep and densely wooded. It rises in its south-eastern part to a height of 671m and is said to "appear sharp from S or N. Except on the NE side." Its principal settlement is the village of Sawangbalak, located on the extreme northern tip of the island. The island is noted for its white beaches. About 40 kilometres to the east is Legundi Island. Internet access is unavailable and the telephone access is unstable in this island. Sumatra
Sumatra is one of the Sunda Islands of western Indonesia. It is the largest island that is fully within Indonesian territory, as well as the sixth-largest island in the world at 473,481 km2 (182,812 mi.2), not including adjacent islands such as the Simeulue, Nias, Mentawai, Enggano, Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung and Krakatoa archipelago. Lampung (Lampung: ), officially the Province of Lampung ( id, Provinsi Lampung) is a province of Indonesia. It is located on the southern tip of the island of Sumatra. It has a short border with the province of Bengkulu to the northwest, and a longer border with the province of South Sumatra to the north. Tanggamus Regency
Tanggamus Regency is a regency (''kabupaten'') of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 4,654.96 km² and had a population of 534,595 at the 2010 Census and 640,275 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 645,807. The regency seat is the town of Kota Agung Pusat. The regency was created on 21 March 1997, but districts in its eastern part were split away in 2008 to form a new Pringsewu Regency. It lies in the southwest of the province, and surrounds Semangka Bay (''Teluk Semangka'') on its west, north and east coasts. Semangka Bay ( id, Teluk Semangka) is a large bay located on the southern tip of Sumatra Island. At the southern tip of Sumatra there are two large bays, Teluk Semangka is located in the western part. Legundi Island
Pulau Legundi (also spelled Lagoendi) is an Indonesian island in the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra. It is one of the larger islands in the Strait and lies at the western end of Sumatra's Lampong Bay, in the province of Lampung.
