TV on the Radio (TVOTR) is an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2001. The band consists of Tunde Adebimpe (vocals, loops), David Andrew Sitek (guitars, keyboards, loops), Kyp Malone (vocals, guitars, bass, loops), and Jaleel Bunton (drums, bass, vocals, loops, guitars). Gerard Smith (bass, keyboards, loops) was a member of the band from 2005 until his death in 2011. TVOTR has released five studio albums: ''Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes'' (2004), ''Return to Cookie Mountain'' (2006), ''Dear Science'' (2008), '' Nine Types of Light'' (2011), and ''Seeds'' (2014), alongside several EPs. Treasure Island Festival
Treasure Island Music Festival is an annual two-day music festival. Prior to 2018, the festival took place on Treasure Island, California, located in the San Francisco Bay. In 2018, the festival moved to Middle Harbor Shoreline Park, located in Oakland. The festival is produced by Noise Pop and Another Planet Entertainment (APE) . The first day of the festival consists of electronica and hip hop/rap influenced performers while the second day consists of rock and indie rock influenced performers. Each day the sets are split between two separate, nearby stages, however, the performances are staggered such that attendees can listen to every performer. Typically, the northernmost stage is the main stage on which the headliner plays. ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. The Shortlist Music Prize, stylized as (shôrt–lĭst), was an annual music award for the best album released in the United States that had sold fewer than 500,000 copies at the time of nomination. ''OK Calculator'' is a demo collection from TV on the Radio which they self-released in 2002. The album's title alludes to Radiohead's album '' OK Computer''. ''Seeds'' is the fifth studio album by American art rock band TV on the Radio, released on November 18, 2014 through Harvest Records. It is the band's first album since the 2011 death of their bassist, Gerard Smith. The album's first single, "Happy Idiot", was released on September 2, 2014. Recording ''Seeds'' was recorded in Los Angeles, at guitarist Dave Sitek's Federal Prism home studio. Sitek also produced the record.
