TV Verdes Mares (channel 10) is a television station licensed to Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, affiliated with TV Globo. Owned by Sistema Verdes Mares, subsidiary of Grupo Edson Queiroz, it is part of a duopoly with Fortaleza-licensed independent station TV Diário (channel 22). Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequency, radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimeter). Ronald Golias
Ronald Golias (May 4, 1929 — September 27, 2005) was a Brazilian comedian and actor. Biography Golias was born in the city of São Carlos, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, and worked as a tailor assistant and insurance agent, amongst other professions. But, during the 1950s, he impressed Manoel de Nóbrega, who hired him to work as a comedian, both on TV and on the radio. His first character was named "Pacífico", a tongue-in-the-cheek young man, that made famous the catch phrase "''Ô Cride!''", Portuguese for "Hey, Cride!", being "Cride" a Brazilian nickname, or misspell for the name Euclides. Owned-and-operated Station
In the broadcasting industry, an owned-and-operated station (frequently abbreviated as an O&O) usually refers to a television or radio station owned by the network with which it is associated. This distinguishes such a station from an affiliate, which is independently owned and carries network programming by contract. The concept of an O&O is clearly defined in the United States and Canada (and to some extent, several other countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Japan), where network-owned stations had historically been the exception rather than the rule. Rede Tupi
Rede Tupi (; in English, Tupi Network) was a Brazilian television network free-to-air. Its parent broadcaster, located in the city of São Paulo, was the first TV station to operate in the country, being inaugurated on 18 September 1950 by journalist Assis Chateaubriand. He belonged to Diários Associados, one of the largest media conglomerates of the 20th century, owner of several newspapers, magazines, and radio.
