TV Pforzheim
The TV Pforzheim is a German rugby union club from Pforzheim, currently playing in the Rugby-Bundesliga, having won promotion to the league in 2011. Apart from rugby, ''TVP'' offers other sports like gymnastics, volleyball and track and field. History The club, formed as gymnastics club on 19 April 1834, does not have quite such a long history in the sport of rugby union. The side did not field an independent team throughout most of the early 2000s, instead fielding a joined side with Karlsruher SV Rugby. In 2008, ''TVP'' finally entered its own side again in the Rugby-Regionalliga Baden-Württemberg, coming fourth. The following year, the club came second, having played two games less than Heidelberger TV on top spot. The Heidelberger Ruderklub (Heidelberger RK or HRK for short) is a German rowing club and rugby union club from Heidelberg, currently playing in the Rugby-Bundesliga. The North Sea Cup was an annual rugby union championship for club teams from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, held since 2011. The championship was sanctioned by rugby's European governing body, the FIRA – Association of European Rugby (FIRA-AER). History 2011–12 The first edition of the competition was held in 2011–12, with six clubs participating, two from each of the three countries. The competition consisted of Boitsfort RC and Royal Kituro Rugby Club from Belgium, SC 1880 Frankfurt and Heidelberger RK from Germany and RC Hilversum and RC The Dukes from the Netherlands. RK Heusenstamm
The RK Heusenstamm is a German rugby union club from Heusenstamm, currently playing in the Rugby-Bundesliga. History The club was formed in 1979, much later than most other current Bundesliga clubs, in Heusenstamm, Hesse. After relegation from the Rugby-Bundesliga in 2000, the club played in the 2nd Rugby-Bundesliga for a number of seasons. The ''RKH's'' greatest success came in 2006, when it managed to take out the German sevens championship. In 2007, the club achieved promotion back to the first division through winning its league and a subsequent 52–10 victory over the North/East champion SC Germania List.
